This is a day my entire family looks forward to. I've invited friends to join us. Hoping we can pull a team together to do this. It's an excellent way to build relationships. And if you're looking for alone time, this is definitely for you.
The race was fun. Obstacles wasn't as difficult as previous years for the rookie race and lacked a challenge. Some where broken on race day and there weren't enough paper cups at the watering stations so you had to drink directly or of the container. Overlapping rookie and commando obstacles caused delays of 30 minutes on two occasions.
An amazing event! Well organized and a great day for everyone!
Absolutely BALL of fun!!! Well organized
What a fun and amazing outdoor experience
I need to start by saying that we love the warrior race, this review is posted with the hope that management will address the issues raised in order to have a better experience....I have posted this on Facebook as well but received an auto reply.... Myself and my team did the commando race 06/04/2019 at Tierpoort and we had a terrible experience. 1. We stood in a line for more than an hour to get into the gates. 2. We stood another hour to get our tags. 3. We again stood 20 minutes to have our bags checked in at the lockers. 4. We were thus very late for our race... 5. We stood at most obstacles in massive queues, tempers ran high between people at these stations. 6. On a 10K race we had 2 x water points. 7. We paid for 22 obstacles, in the end we could only count 16, three of which we had to skip because of the massive bottlenecks. 8. Points man or marshals were non existent throughout the race. Irrespective of the money that we all felt we wasted, this was not a challenge. Our total race was 2:17:15 of which we moved for only 1:11:07?? There was just too many people at the venue on the day, this was not only a waste of time but also a HUGE safety concern. I need to add that this was the general feeling among people that wanted to take the race seriously. 09/04/2019 - Thank you for the honest response Hennie, I can appreciate this!! You will most definitely see us at the next sauteing race!!
The event was fantastic. The service at the restaurant afterwards, shocking
Have only ever had great experiences at their events.
Soweto warrior race was terrible. The "famous" mud monster which is the highlight of the event was three tiny skips with a bit of water and mud in the bottom. No final leap either. There was just a kiddies slide to finish the black ops. After doing the race for more than 5 years, I will no longer be participating if this is what has become of it. Sadly, I see the next one is Soweto again.
Warrior races are always good did not attend this one due to work but wil definitely join the next one
