We were sightseeing. They now charge an entrance fee. The lighthouse complex is closed for renovations. The ablutions now have solar heating. Otherwise still unspoilt by progress and a lovely serene camping area.

****WARNING ******THEFT THEFT THEFT THEFT - DO NOT COME HERE *** WARNING !!! ******* - we got broken into at at this camp site. Stupidly we left our car unlocked and they stole everything! Handbags, garmin and apple watches , drone, wallets, AirPods, laptop. Film cameras , phones. What a pity that this once beautiful camp site is no longer safe. We didn’t even pay to get in which has us wondering that this camp site is letting these guys in. SHOCKING!
Absolutely gorgeous beaches and bays with spectacular rocks and ocean views in the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve. There is also a camp site and restaurant Seekombuis. We’ll visit them next time!

If you love nature, you will find peace for your soul here. You are greeted all over by the sounds of Cape Buntings, Yellow Canaries and Karoo Prinias. In the back ground the calls of the Cape Spurfowl and 2 Rock Kestrels roost at the middle block of ablutions. You breath the fresh sea air and you smell the flowers all over. You experience nature like nowhere else in the world! -Tietiesbaai!
Lovely camping spot. Pitty about the ablutions. No hot showers to speak of and the toilets need maintenance as there's no way to lock the doors.Service: 3/5
This is the place to be, camping on the beach. What a beautiful place
We toured the area on a flower tour, visiting the beautiful beach. Couldn't visit the lighthouse but the flowers were beautiful.
Great place for hiking and very popular for camping, good for people who like fishing also. The water is very rough in some places. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the beach, the sunsets in the horizon above the ocean.
