Tindlovu Restaurant Mopani

The Tindlovu restaurant at the Mopani Rest Camp has one of the best views in the park, overlooking the Pioneer dam. There is inside and outside seating outside is covered by a roof. Although you have a good view from most tables, I recommend you try to get there before the lunch / dinner rush to get a table outside so as to take full advantage of the view. Their menu is very basic, but everything we tasted was pretty good and reasonably priced. Although our waitress was friendly, service was very slow and they weren't very attentive. Just for the view alone I would make a plan to visit again, even if just to grab something to drink.

Excellent restaurant. The view over the lake is breathtaking. The food was above our expectations, especially considering you are in a national park. Super fresh, tasty, multiple veggie options, and really great value for money. The staff is adorable and very attentive. Can highly recommend to make a stop here!

This is now a Mpila restaurant. We had breakfast on 18/10 on the deck. Our order was written down. When the food arrived, it was cold, the eggs hard, the cheesegriller raw. Cutlery came as an afterthought. Did not see the waiter after the food was brought to our table. I approached the manager and he arranged that our order be redone. A very bad experience. Will give it a wide berth in the future.

From Shingwedzi day trip, tried to get lunch. People coming in after me and my wife getting served, other staff standing around talking to each other until we stood up and left.Service: 1/5

Their coffee is stated as being Lavaza and I can tell you it isn't. They don't use a thermometer to judge the temperature of the milk. We ended up with cheap expensive coffee that had to sit for 10 minutes to cool sufficiently. Very nice views though and Precious pictured here is a gem.

Nice,tidy and serene. The place is well kept as compared to other camps.This one is the best.

The food was divine and the views of the river before and after this rest camp are mesmerising. The ornamental elephant in the garden seemed so real from a distance, it's amazing!!!

Food not up to standard, ask for food to be done a certain way, ignored everything after it was agreed that it would be done. Did not come and ask if everything was ro our liking. Food was basically left raw and couldnt be eaten. Service also needs serious attention.

13 April 2021. Absolutely stunning location for a meal. The service was a bit laboured seeing that there were only three tables with patrons. The food was reasonably priced and tasty.

3/04/2012. Extremely bad service, not even to mention the ladies toilet and how it was smelling on soap in the bathrooms and to think it is a basic need in covid . The menu was so dirty!!!! It didn't bothered the staff to help the guest. What a disaster. The staff just did not care at all.
