Tweerivier Game Lodge is a small and exclusive lodge situated on the banks of the Limpopo river in northern South Africa.
Situated in a little nook of the Limpopo river, in the Northern parts of Limpopo province, you get a true feel of the bushveld at Tweerivier. Where mixed bushveld gives way to sour bushveld and you can even find a bit of montane grassland, and Lowveld riverine forest nestled against the banks of the Limpopo river - making it possible to experience various types of vegetation and habitats, as well as their varying ecosystems..
The richness and diversity in plant- and bird-life habitat makes this an ideal retreat for all bird-watchers. The small wetlands dotted through the farm also contribute to the multitude of bird species.
We also have a variety of antelope that incude Oryx, Sable, Bushbuck, Duiker, Impala, Gemsbuck, Eland, Kudu, Giraffe, Rietbok, Nyala, Springbuck, Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, and Zebra.
Other wildlife sightings include Crocodile, Hippopotamus, Baboons, Bush Babies, Vervet Monkeys, Otters, Bush Pigs, Caracals, Civets, Porcupines, Honey Badgers, Pangolins, Brown Hyenas, Black-backed Jackals, Warthogs as well as Cheetah and Leopard.
We have two main lodges on the farm, the Tree House and the tented camp.

The tented camp:
The Tent camp is a two story structure of canvas and mortar with unique personal detailing to all finishes. The kitchen and lounge area gives you a cool, shaded space to cool down during the warmest parts of the day, while the second floor has 3 spacious tented rooms - catering for 10 - enabling you to experience the outdoors with a brilliant view of the splendor surrounding you. The uniquely crafted en-suite bathrooms allow guests to enjoy a shower while overlooking the bushveld. A luxurious, open air shower also offers an unforgettable experience.
Built around a open entertainment area, nightly bonfires are part of a true bushveld experience.
