Very ideal to have in a small and thriving community. We found all the items we had on our list, and to an extent it is more variety packed than SPAR supermarkets in Joburg.it has farm related magazines, wood for fire and their frozen foods section is filled with a lot of variety. The cashiers and til packers are quick and efficient. They also pack items without mixing up items incorrectly. I appreciate that kind of consideration a lot. It's in a small shopping centre that has a Laundromat, a Coffee Shop, Hair Stylist, a post office and a place to buy fat cakes. Oh and SPAR Tops.
Very convenient but there was no parking and long queues. They did have everything that we needed
Wonderful shop, I always stop there before heading on holiday in the berg. There apple pie for me is aways a must.

The barista at Bean Cafe served us capuccino's in dirty cups. When confronted, she became rude and never apologised. What a terrible way to start the day!
Only decent grocery store in Underberg, management is friendly and is customer service oriented. Can be very busy at times and the shop is much neater than one would expect for the circumstances.
Nice all-around spar, but as a holiday destination, there are no toys for kids,a bit disappointed!

Busy, busy, busy ! Driving in from JHB late Friday afternoon we encountered peak shopping at the Superspa. The shop was full but the queue to pay went fast. Prices are high but I guess that must have to do with the logistics of getting the variety of stock to Underberg. You don't really have much choice as I see it as this is the only major store in 200km. The store is very well staffed with fast and friendly employees. The parking is very limited and chaotic. Worst ever experience of a "public" toilet, you have to pay R2,00 which is fine but the coin machine only takes R2.00 exactly and a few desperate users lost their money with no access given. I don't mind paying but once in, the toilets are in a terrible state. This actually seems very cruel, young kids were in need and didn't have money to access the facility. I recommend you use the toilets at the garage around the corner if in need. Finally I highly recommend Superspa address this for the local community.
Lovely spar/ great owner and always fresh goods. Love the butcher section!!
