Universal Health Care does not care about the customers, the staff is not willing to assist members but to frustrate them by not acting on the queries, the customer service sucks big time and the escalation of cases means nothing because the problems remain unresolved even when the case has been escalated. I would not recommend anyone to be on Compcare medical aid because the claims dept just pay out even fraudulent claims and put the service providers at the center of the problems. Universal will remain small Admin company with this kind of attitude from the employees. It's sickening!
Utter useless and incompetent staff and phone system. nothing gets done. Bad attitude and unhelpful. I wasted my calls, waited and still got cut off over 7 times during one call. had to redial 7 times and still no success. One of the worst medical aids i have used.
I get heartburn whenever I have to deal with the Claims and Benefits department. The call centre agents' attitude is shocking. You'd swear they're volunteering there instead of being paid to do their job.
Your new Mobile App, recently launched, are not supported by Huawei AppGallery. Some Huawei Smartphones eg. Huawei P40 Lite does not support Google Play Store, App Store. I have reported this to your Mr Brendon Ratshilumelo but with no feedback nor positive response. Can anybody please advice?
We have been struggling to get anyone from the dental administration department to email us feedback for members that needs dental authorization for certain treatments. When we phone the Universal call center we cannot hear anything the agents are saying. Their VOIP is so bad and also we get disconnected every time. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!! We understand agents are working from home currently but please make sure their internet connections is of good quality.
ZERO customer service. In the event that you do manage to get hold of a consultant they can't answer most questions, every response is send an email to this or that department and of course the emails never get responded to.
Very poor service when it come to claiming from your savings. I had to follow up with Universal at least 6 different occasions spanning over 2 months for my doctor to be paid. Second worst experience having place a claim with Londiwe Maphumulo. Send this off on the 5th of August still no payment. Today was my 5 call to them and the strange answer is its being processed. How inefficient. I even asked to speak to a manager and was emailed they will call me today. I called at about 11hoo and now its 18h00. WISH THERE WAS A ZERO RATING
Pathetic, they don't pay out for anything, take days to respond to emails, bill you in arrears when you are not in arrears as a scare tactic to make sure you don't miss payments and most recently they informed me that there is a 3 month notice period to leave the useless medical aid scheme, an absolute joke don't waste your time or money with their rubbish service.
Stay away from them. They are bad. Don't pay doctors and if you pay the doctor yourself, they don't pay you back for the claim. It's always excuses about the back log in the claims department and some rubbish stories. I wish my company can see what torture they putting us through for choosing universal. Discovery is the best.
there is a problem with the smart phone App for Universal for pre-authorisations but despite several phone calls and an e mail, no one seems to be able to or capable of resolving or understanding the issue.
