Do not go here for your vaccine! So the lady said sure they can help me and ushered me to the waiting area at the nurses station...2 people ahead of me. new lady appears....'NEE NEE julle kan nie hier staan nie...julle moet buite wag..Ok..so my self and the people behind me move outside to the sidewalk. The second woman also disappears and I can see nobody is controlling this.Waiting and waiting...no movement nothing happening. So I go back inside.....there is a new queue being vaccinated 6 people long that I have not seen before. So I decided to leave before I lose my cool. Hour wasted
I have been using Van Heerdens for 18 years. I have also used other pharmacies when necessary. I do have to give a huge medal to Tineke. She has kept this little shop afloat through the hardest of times, the busiest of times, through covid ques, through revamps of the building, and more, I have never seen any drama or been treated in a hurry..... and I am there quite often.
Definitely the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I have been with Van Heerden pharmacy since 2019 and their service just keeps on getting worse. Each time I go to collect my medication they first need to confirm with the receptionist at the doctor I’m seeing if I am a patient and when the prescription was sent to them and me via email from the doctor him self , even when the prescription is for 6 months, each time they say no one uploaded it on the system and couldn’t care less for the inconvenience this creates every single time I’m there to collect my medication. I have asked them nicely to upload this on their system so that this is not a continuous eventthis has been a back and forth for over a year now on top of that their click and collect site does work but they claim that it does not and that they don’t receive the information and to rather use WhatsApp if I would like delivery and or to click and collect, but when you send a WhatsApp they just ignore you and don’t get back to you at all. If you arrange for delivery just know they also don’t tell you when they will be delivering it could be a week from the date ordered or a month. And on top of all of this the staff are extremely rude and judging. Personally I feel this kind of service is absolutely ridiculous from a pharmacy that people rely on for their medication. It’s not worth it. Rather use a different pharmacy.
Been here since 07h30 for covid vaccine. It is now 10h40! Not that the line is very long, the process is so ineffective, and now we've been informed the nurse is elsewhere!! No worries, she'll be back soon!! Would give no star if that were an option.
Wow!! What a surprise....they have renovated and much bigger, much nicer. One can find all you looking for. Go see for yourself!!
We went to the pharmacy at 9:15 to receive our covid 19 vacinations. We were 7th in the que. it took an hour to register in the icey cold outside.We were then invited into the pharmacy to have our medical aid membership checked.Then we went outside in the cold again to wait for the vacination area to be available This took a further half hour.We were then ivited into the vacination room to listen to a marketing spiel by the vacinator for another half hour.On enquiry why the process took so long,we were advised by the same lady that she had a pharmacy to run and could not do vacinations whole day.She said that if we were not satisfied, she could remove our booking and we could go elsewhere.We decide that after our duration of inefectifness and time delay of this process,we would rather continue.It is hghly frustrating to be treated like second class citizens by a private sector vacinator agency,that disregards our sacrifices to remain safe in this national pandemic.
I stopped using this pharmacy 4 years ago because of the extremely poor queue management. My wife has just come from there, most annoyed, having had to unnecessarily stand in the queue for 30 minutes. This is not due to too many people in the queue - it is simply inefficient attendance by staff to the circumstances of customers in the queue.
Extremely bad service. We made an appointment for 8:30 at the nurse for our Discovery tests, just to find out on the day, at 8:30, that she will only be coming in at 9:00. I had a physio appointment at 9:15 and could not wait for the sister. This is extremely bad service. They could at least have let us know. That would have been the decent thing to do.
This is our favorite pharmacy. Everybody is professional, friendly and extremely helpful. An extra compliment to Sr Gail Boshoff. She is a great asset and it is convenient to have her with all her knowledge at the Clinic inside the pharmacy. Well done to all of you.

Her knowledge related to any problem in the medical field is asstounding. She has definitely become my new to go to "doctor". Thank Sister Gail!
