Vergelegen Kwikspar and Tops

The service of the works might be good but what goes on behind the scene is what the problem is. My experience with their own packed products has been disgusting. They take old rotten cheese, grate it and repack it. My grated cheese smelled like cheese that was off for weeks. Also the food they make, pack and sell. I bought something with a bit of meat and they made sure to pack the good meat on top, when i flipped it to see the meat under that...it was grey slime. A health risk at its best. They can actually kill someone with food poisoning. This is how they cut shortcuts to still make money. This owner and mangers needs to be held accountable for this. Will be my last time visiting any SPAR from now on.

By FAR the best Spar in the Western Cape. Staff from Deli to cashiers well trained and always friendly. Home made food delicious and affordable. Highly recommended.

Always a pleasure to visit Davie and his team at my local Spar. Always friendly staff and a well stocked shop with bakery and Sushi counter, made to order. Parking is sometimes very busy but very seldom totally full.

The Vergelegen Kwikspar has definitely been a more pleasant shopping experience since the new renovations have been completed, the store feels more spacious, though there are frequently long queues in store for tills depending on time of day. Traffic and parking remains a big issue at peak periods, and you will often encounter frustrated and ill tempered motorists, and we usually avoid driving here unless it is during the off-peak.

Clean and have al kinds of nice food

Love the variety of fresh salads. The prepared meals a good size, have option of a single portion or small family size and well priced too. The freshly baked bread has a huge variety. Great store always so neat and clean. Staff friendly and polite. They offer good specials too.
