Great Healthclub. Excellent service with friendly professionals from Personal trainer's, fitness instructors to the cleaning staff. A conducive environment in health and fitness for working professionals, after a long day. I make it a point to train and relax my body here at least twice a week. Good one, guys

A great collection club gym that does not get too busy during peak periods.
This gym is like my second home and it is a great place to train, just needs some urgent updates considering its unjustifiable price +/- R1700 1. MOST IMPORTANTLY, please control the personal trainers. There are many of them who are straight out rude and deny you the use of a lot of equipment. They hog several machines at once and selfishly do not use them all, and deny you the use of the equipment they not using! If I have the same experience I had with one elderly male PTs again, I will most definitely be cancelling my membership. I cannot tolerate the selfishness and inconsiderate behaviour! I wish all the PT's could be as fair and kind as Warren and Andrew. 2. Bathroom definitely needs some upgrades, showers are old, usually very limited water pressure and one or two of the showers do not even have hot water. Sauna and steam room are great though! referring to mens change room 3. Classes are so extremely limited. I often have to travel to Alice Lane for some more interesting classes. There definitely needs to be something done about this. As a member of both VA and Moove Melrose, classes are much more enjoyable at Moove, and some classes even have the same instructors as VA Melrose. Final Review: The price is totally unjustifiable +/- 1700, compared to Moove +/- R399. However, the welcome, polite and energetic energy at melrose VA just makes you want to stay! I may not be able to justify the price, however, the vibrance there is unmatched, even at 4:30am! The staffs' helpfulness, kindness and energy makes you want to come train!
The things l enjoy about this collection club is its beautiful layout, reasonable amount of machines/ equipment for every member you don’t have to wait for someone to get done often , fruits on the house, getting my clothes ironed, the jacuzzi, sauna room, steam room, the pool, and towel service!! What l hate about this gym is that; • The reception ladies yes, all of them are not welcoming, the attitude is terrible, it was so bad l had to leave the gym and go to another collection club! If ever you need any help or assistance ask for Amo, she’s probably the only person in that gym who comes to work with professionalism in mind. •The classes are usually empty and very boring.
The most amazing virgin active I've seen
Expensive but great quality of gym. The collection makes your gym experience slightly more high class with fruit on the house and freshly laundered towels. The equipment is no different to the normal virgin active gyms, however, there are fewer people using the machines which means that you don’t have to compete for your equipment of choice. The pool is often full though, so if you’re a keen swimmer don’t expect a free lane whenever you feel like it. Overall very good quality gym and generally worth the money. They also have a concierge service which can be very convenient too.
I normally train in the evenings after 7, it's really quiet, I have access to any machine without waiting in lines. They also making sure that there is no overcrowding, given the current lockdown rules
The club is definitely not worth the money. Just a word of advice make sure everything is in writing. Management and sales will promise you the world and not deliver. Also if you plan on cancelling, ensure you email and ask for confirmation as they will say your contract is cancelled over the phone but actually not cancel it.
Great facilities and always guaranteed to get a treadmill. Includes some additional perks being a Virgin Active Classic Club, including towels on arrival, complimentary fruit, WiFi and no need to bring lock with digital lockers standard. They also offer shoe shining services and you can have your suit and shirt steamed while you workout.
