If I could give this club 0 stars, I would. I have never encountered a situation where I have to beg staff to do their jobs. I signed up about 3 months ago with Mangi in person at the branch. I was later informed that he lost the receipts that were proof I payed for the joining fees. Due to this, there was a constant arrears reflecting on my count, I was blocked every time I swiped my card and the staff was very reluctant to let me in. I needed to explain that I have in fact paid all the fees but due to Mangi’s negligence by loosing the receipts, I needed to repeat this to every receptionist every time I came to the gym just so that they could allow me in. I have sent countless emails with my banking statements to show the transaction, I have phoned Mangi and his managers countless times but always met with “I’ll call you back” or “I’ll see what I can do” and of course, not one of the staff phoned me back. The pure lack of service is disgusting. The entire staff could not care less about their customers. This is by far the worst Virgin Active I have ever experienced.

I am so flabbergasted with the attitude and lack of sense of urgency of the staff in this gym after my locker was broken into and lost my items. Today, my lock was broken into and both my gym and toiletry bag were ransacked and my cologne and approximately R350 were stolen. Sadly, the persons who were doing this, broke into more than 4 lockers, and some members lost their phones, money, etc. This happened between 05:15 and 06:00. Please don’t keep your valuables in these easily accessible lockers. The "There is nothing we can do attitude as there are no cameras" from the staff was the master piece. Was informed that an incident can be register, including the lost items.
I’ve been with this gym for some time now but the past 4 days have been sickening. The female sauna smells of urine. Myself and a few ladies tried to make use of it but we just could not stomach the stench. Spoke to a few employees including the cleaners but it still has not changed. I love that club but the sauna issue is just making me feel I need to up and go elsewhere where hygiene is of utmost importance.
Staff are extremely friendly. Myra always comes and grabs me for a quick express class which is always good and effective. Would love some afternoon yoga classes to be added though but other than that very satisfied. Also as a woman I feel very safe at the gym, everyone has been super respectful so far.
Not the best Virgin Active, air con system doesn't seem like it's working all too well. It is extremely hot and uncomfortable to run on the treadmill. Cost per month is lower than the other VA, so it's understandable that you won't have a high class experience. Stay as far away as possible from the sales person - Sammy. He is incompetent and only sees you as "the commission" he will be getting by signing up with him. I signed up on a promotion one month for free. I specifically asked him when my first debit order will go off. It went off on the "free month" and it's been 4 months and I still have not been refunded / given my free month! He is absolutely pathetic at his job!!!
This is a really great gym with super friendly staff and good vibes all around. My dad also really enjoys it. Old and young are welcome here. They also recently got some new equipment which is always a bonus.
Great, went there when the gym was not packed, had a lovely session. Will be back there when I am in the area again
I had a beautiful day and it was fruitful time with the great virgin active managers and other superior
Equipment is very much outdated and the bathrooms as well I have been a member for 7 months but only took a showere once.
