Went with a pal to return his vehicle undisclosed defects. We were called all sorts of names by this shyster and his conartist son. Disgusting people. Took 5 days and threat of legal action to get a refund. Has no regard for the law and consumer rights. Avoid at all costs.
Untrustworthy. I took my car there to fault-find a water leak. They quoted me R15k for a cam belt, tensioner & water pump change. However, these items had just been replaced at my previous service, less than 100kms prior. I asked to speak to the person who did the inspection - Blake, he insisted that they did do a pressure test and the water pump was leaking. I got a 2nd opinion, the water pump was perfectly fine and I got the car repaired for a fraction of the price.
I brought my car in to fix the windshield wiper water pipe as it had broken, as well as fix or replace the left indicator bulb, as well as replace the bonnet gas strut. I came back 3 hours later to find NOTHING had been repaired as the parts are on order.... Fair enough.... But they charged me a fee if R350 for an inspection. I'm the one who TOLD them what was wrong, no inspection was needed,.... Just screwing the customer again. I will demand this money to be subtracted from the money owing for the repair costs.... and after this, NEVER take my car back there AGAIN. Wackers Paarden Island Customers.... Be warned
Ive used these guys a few times. The last time I just dropped the car and said " the brakes sound funny" They called a few hours later with quote and I had my car back the same day. Friendly service.Services: Brakes
My Audi was in for a service,a minor one and I asked them to sort out squeaking when I breaked.They kept the car overnight,informing me they couldn’t get spares.I noticed on the way home that my air conditioner was making a vibrating noise.The following day with the windows open I heard the brakes still squeaking.The service sheet itemised new brake disks.I was generally disappointed with the whole experience.The previous service,with the previous owners was superb. Our car was due for a service and it also had some issues that we wanted checked. We took our car in early morning and received a list and quote with repairs to be done. All the work was completed in one day. We were very happy with the service delivery of Wackers. Definitely value for money. Thank you Wackers Team. Our car is starting and driving smoothly again.
Service on the car is fine but a huge warning. They don’t inform you until you arrive that they charge 7,5 % on credit card for payments. It’s exorbitant and totally out of the norm. I then wasn’t able to do an EFT due to a banking app issue. They wouldn’t release the car and ended up going in circles with absolutely no willingness to assist in a rather tricky situation. I get being strict on policy but there should be a willingness to assess a specific situation on hand. Sadly being greedy on an abnormal credit card charge and being unwilling to find a solution to the EFT immediate challenge will most definitely ensure I won’t be returning.
I'm very impressed with this place. Honest, professional, cost effective. I gave them a shot after an exorbitant quote from Audi made me feel like I was being ripped off. I dropped off my car at Wackers at 8am, by 10am they had found the fault and fixed it my midday. Saved myself thousands by giving them a shot. Great and honest service is hard to come by these days but this looks like a gem to me. This is now my VW / Audi workshop of choice. Well done guys! Daniel, Audi S3
