Welkom Medi-Clinic

The Maternity ward has good security and they are great for patients who need c-sections and doesn't prefer to breastfeed....But.... if you want to have a natural birth and want to breastfeed your baby stay away!! They prefer to do sceduled c-sections and convince you to bottlefeed your baby.... They know absolutely nothing about breastfeeding.. the golden hour or skin to skin!! It is so sad!!

EAP is really needed at this hospital, The care workers and nurses are not so friendly as one would expect. Doctors also need to give extra care to their patients / provide sufficient information to patient Families.

My husband was admitted on Friday 22 August, the service was excellent, the nursing staff professional, friendly and competent. I will definitely tell all my friends and family

Reception is pathetic. Only one person on duty. They give you a black box tell you to sit down, rudely they tell you to get up and sit in waiting area. Don't tell you if black box vibrate you need to go to a counter. Pathetic service.

Short ans sweet. The service is up to s...! My mother of 69 had to wait 2hours for my brother inlaw that was decharged for his paper work. He had a leg surgery.Then she had to arrange/get the wheel chair herself and even had to push him herself from the ward to the car. Nobody assisted her! This is not the first incident that i now of. Are you short of staff or just you guy simply dont care about patients?

Absolutely horrible the worst hospital ever!!like seriously can you get any worse they are the glorified rich Chris Hani version absolutely disgusting and disappointed

Recently just visited the hospital and applaud by the 'service' from the nurses and staff at the mertenity ward. My wife didn't receive fresh drinking water within every hour or even two. They have awful communication skills, they either expect you to to what's happening or whatever, but it's bad for such a hospital to have such a reputation... Next baby to come I will definitely think twice to go there.

Been in hospital at Mediclinic in Welkom a few times, this time I was treated to an atmosphere that created a confidence in all the staff to be welcoming and sure of them selves, this made me feel I am going to be Ok. I stayed in General ward for 2 nights and was treated by one and all with utmost respect. i did not like to hear the diagnoses I received but was supported by all the staff doctors included. Can recommend any patient to make use of their care !!! Thank you Mediclinic Welkom.

MediClinic welkom has thee worst service ever ... Yesterday at around 15:45 my sons pediatrician called the pediatric ward to organize a bed for my son with acute bronchitis, they informed my Dr a bed will be ready in 3 hours , I get here 4 hours later and guess wat bed wasn't fixed , I wait for almost 2 hours to get a bed ... My son who is very clingy when his sick refuses to sleep in his cot so I asked for a normal bed but even now didn't get it so I leave the bed meant for me open because he just wants to sleep in my arms ... a Sister walks in here nd instead of explaining the rules about this uncomfortable bed askes me "why I didn't close up the bed " when she can clearly see my son sleeping on it with me beside him ... I swear I used to think this hospital still is good but I take it back can't wait for my child to get better nd we leave cause clearly this hospital aint about my child's care but me leaving the bed open ... worst service I have yet received... Call me a Karen its okay but we pay for this ...

My husband has been hospitalized for the 3rd time this year, general ward, medical ward all just the same. The service at mediclinic Welkom is appalling. The wards are dirty and the medical staff are unprofessional.
