Craniosacral Therapy is a light-touch manual therapy that re-orientates the body’s innate ability to heal, by balancing the structures surrounding the brain and spinal cord. It encourages the body to settle out of conditions that have been set up by history, injury and lifestyle and return it to its natural flow.
There is a fundamental subtle movement within all body tissues that practitioners are trained to feel using a highly developed sense of palpation to feel any strains and to gently release them. This is present throughout the connective tissues (fascia, ligaments, muscles and bones) of the whole body including the head.
The craniosacral technique is a patient-centered approach to healing that appreciates and treats the body, mind and spirit as one system. Each body has its own stories; my job is to listen–to hear its stories as clearly as possible–and to respond effectively.
