Wierdabrug Police Department

Applied for Firearm License renewal early December 2021. It's now been over 280 days, no feedback on firearm license renewal approval. Received message in May 2022 that Compliance was approved. Still no update on when firearm license will be ready. Absolutely pathetic. Try calling the DFO, is also a waste of time, phone either goes unanswered or you can't get through!

Our house was broken into, took the police longer than two hours to arrive at our house. They didn't even enter the house when they arrived, one officer got out to take a statement and then left, didn't take fingerprints or made an effort to actually see what happened inside of the house. Pathetic is an understatement. Monitor Net did a better job at trying to see what happened than our own police services. Our country is not safe if this is the "protection" and service we are given.

They were very professional and assisted us with the report of a violent assault. They were patient and helpful and then sent a vehicle to witness the stolen property being held by one of the accused.

If I could give them minus 10 I would definitely!!! Do NOT go to this police station they are rude,lazy and a disgrace for this country. Please close this police station down. Paying salaries to people that refuse to work or care.

The DFO at Wierdabrug is useless you cant submit any application with out appointment only police station i know of that has this, the waiting times to be assisted are also ridicules, they never answer there phones. it is really appalling to see the state of this police station. they really need to increase personnel and upgrade systems to better assist people. The DFO at other polices station are much better but unfortunately you need to hand in you applications at your local police stations near your residents.

Absolutely horrible experience. I called them in an emergency on behalf of a friend whose house was being broken into. All they cared about was why my friend called me and not them, which really didn't matter in that moment. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude, she had no people skills and just made me panic even more.

Despite the officer behind the counter not being sure what I meant at first when explaining that I need to scrap a vehicle, and looking rather tired. He was kind and helped my husband and me really quickly with no hassles.

Such disgusting people and disgusting service. Sithole and her sidekick are disgraces to the policing community. One is supposed to go to a police station for help - not to be ridiculed and made to feel incompetent. They spoke down to me like I was gum on their shoe when I asked a simple question about reporting an assault. I would rather be killed than go here for assistance again.

I needed to get my ID certified and an affidavit and Mrs. Sithole and the rest of her team were very helpful and efficient. We were in and out of there in 5 minutes. Awesome to see.

I needed to do an affidavit and was made to wait outside the station as the area was loadshedding. Didn't know you needed electricity to complete an affidavit at 1 O'clock in the afternoon.
