Hillbrow Police Station

The officers was very unfriendly and disrespectful to me. And did not want to help me at the Hillbrow Saps. At 16h45 on the 6 September 2022. The officer did not great me. I just knocked off from work. I needed a documents to be certified. The officer just directed me to a closed building without looking at me. . AT THE CONER OF THE Street. Thank you For your help.

Very dissapointed, as a victim.l opened a case.Criminals are a walkable distance from the police station,but l still have to go through a complicated procedure for weeks for them to be locked away. They might hurt me again ,maybe l will just have to totally forget about reporting and take my own life than living in fear and pain.No action is taken yeah! women are still under no protection...

My fiance went there early hours of the morning around 3am as he had been assaulted. He had no shoes and t-shirt on and also didn't have a phone as the people who assaulted him had taken it. They gave him no case or OB number and just sent him straight to the clinic, where he was sent back due to not having the relevant if any information on his case filling form. He had to walk barefoot at odd hours of the morning to and fro the police station and their reasoning behind this is that people could already see he had nothing to offer so he wouldn't get mugged. On top of it all, they laughed at him and ridiculed him for the injuries he sustained. We too were told to wait for the next shift and no one bothered to assist us until we nagged them to. Very poor service and absolutely no people skills.

Terrible service. The officers ignore u. Until u ask if they gna help. Then they tell u to wait for next shift, which was like 2 hours away. Asked to speak to station commissioner. He was dismissive. Had to make some calls to higher powers and only then did they reluctantly help. Shows why crime can be so high in jhb. Sies!!

I phoned to report an attempted armed robbery, immediately after it occurred. The officer who answered the phone was flippant, saying it wasn't in their area, and then that they were not the flying squad. He then cut me off. This is the third instance of this type that has occurred to me in the past month. 17:10 29 October 2018.

Service is good depend your attitude toward the men and women in blue.With so much crime and very little contribution from the community l'd expect them to behave the way they do.The pressure is immense.

It takes them the whole day to make an arest the suspect might even run away....they walk around gossiping they are lazy... Have been here since morning and I am sick

Horrible place, terrible service. I was robbed around the area, I was found by a police cruiser in the area they made fun of me being robbed, I asked for help they didn’t find it necessary to help me I asked them to take me to the police station, Where I was greatly mistreated by the station commander where he said “please go away or put yourself to use and help us petrol the area” I was sitting at one of the benches where I asked people that entered for money for a cab fare to go home, Do yourself a favor stay away from the area at night and the police station

It takes 3 hours just to make an accident report.... The police are walking around the station no one is assisting.... Not sure how things operate around here...

They don't answer their phones, and I'm still waiting for a case number from a reported incident 2 weeks ago...
