I grew up in the bushveldt, and now I found a little piece of bushveldt by the sea. I will come back every year, as I have had a very peaceful relaxing experience with my family here. It is a great social family environment where I met a lot of new interesting people, and management of the facilities made me feel like I was home. I will recommend Yellow woods and the Eksderde program to all my family and friends. I suggest a monthly membership payment to help with the upkeep and further development of this site, and especially the Eksderde program. In return for my membership fee I would like to have a set time that I may visit with my family every year. I will also gladly visit with my boys to come for a weekend to help with work and maintenance of the property and facility. I would suggest to maybe have a little more for the kids, like a splash pool and maybe a jungle gym... other than that keep it as natural as it is. I have a couple of smaller suggestions but admin can contact me directly for those.
I had the pleasure of attending Yellow Woods Camps and Conferences' Youth Camp and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience! I would give it a solid 5-star rating without any hesitation. First of all, the lodging was cozy and comfortable, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The cabins were clean and spacious, with all the necessary amenities provided to ensure a comfortable stay. The food was simply delicious! From breakfast to dinner, the chefs at Yellow Woods Camps and Conferences made sure to prepare a variety of meals that catered to everyone's taste buds. There were plenty of healthy options available as well, which I appreciated. But what really stole my heart was the breathtaking view of the surrounding forest and mountains. The campsite was nestled in the midst of nature, providing a serene and peaceful environment that was truly rejuvenating. Overall, I would highly recommend Yellow Woods Camps and Conferences' Youth Camps to anyone looking for a fun, exciting, and relaxing getaway. The lodging was cozy, the food was delicious, and the view was simply stunning. It was definitely an experience that I will cherish for a long time!
Awesome camp grounds, very effective and friendly staff excellent service, just phone signal a bit of a problem with a weak signal, but anyway you don't really need the phone when you there. And the little donkeys are so quite, they walk around there and allowed us to pat them, awesome.
I had the most amazing time with my friends this weekend. What a wonderful camp experience...refreshing energy and the most beautiful scenic views...and our host Mr. Jan Bronkhorst at Eksderde.. love you guys. Will return for sure

Great facilities in an amazing setting. Absolutely no cellphone signal, but there is limited wifi available. Great for big groups wanting a hostel feeling. Definitely not for romantic getaways. Also be aware the you might have noisy neighbors. Kitchen facilities with plenty fridge space for self cooking etc. Gravel road to get there is doable with any vehicle.

Sadly, my experience of Yellow Woods was a disaster. After booking a weekend and paying the deposit for a group of approximately 50 people, I was informed that my camp date had been allocated to another group. They then offered me the following weekend, but after a few minutes, contacted me to notify me that that date had also been booked to another group. IWhen I contactef thd owner Jan, he was
