Good food. I somehow get put off by smells of meats in a Chinese 'restaurant but that's me. Is amazing that Chinese have it all in China but pay no attention to decor. Good food . No ambiance Pricing is average . We had menu for 2 at R318. Pics below.

Absolutely revolting! Order delivery via Mr. D the food that I received was vrot! How can they even pass this as food. Disgusting. DO NOT SUPPORT! They should be closed down.

Love their food! We had chicken noodles, crispy beef, chicken foo Yong, sweet and sour pork, garlic fry choy. Yummers for all of them. Thank you for an awesome meal to celebrate my Mom’s birthday!
Tried the seafood soup, very delicious with alot of depth to it, good portion size for a starter. The spring rolls didn't have enough filling and very dense, reminded me of our South African vetkoek. Also had the prawn curry with steamed rise, the best prawn curry I've tried to date. My other half had the beef and egg fried rice. Egg fried rice was flavourful, however the beef was abit tough and too much black pepper for me. Worth a visit though.
Why do I love this place... Oh wow... Where to start... could it be the authentic menu and food combination because the green veg option does not consist of Choi only ; the proud offering of tripe or chicken feet yes... Or the amazing dumpling menu available at Sunday morning yum cha. If you would like to experience something different in the Northern part of Johannesburg, pop in at Zen Garden. Tables are serviced; wide variety on the menu seafood, chicken, beef, pork and vegetables. Suitable for small or large groups, separate dinning rooms available for more private gatherings. Most preferred times: lunch before 2:30pm and dinner after 5:00pm. The restaurant closes between lunch and dinner, as staff need to rest.
Absolutely disgusting. Ordered a day after lockdown and got really sick. Got sweet and sour chicken and there were only 2 pieces of chicken and the rest was just bits of deep fried bits. Worst food I’ve ever had.
As a Chinese,I love the food and atmosphere here. The boss is very nice and friendly and ready for all suggestions. Always have a good time there.
As a locally born Chinese, the food here is authentic and tasty. Family dinners are frequent at Zen Garden. Service is not amazing but the food makes up for it.
