Zoolake Bowls

We hosted a Start of Year function at Zoolake Bowls Club. The service was incredible. Efficient service from waiters & the bar. Laminated signs with the company name for our designated area. Walter and Tidimalo were incredible with helping us arrange the event. Lawns are well maintained.

Great food, kid and pet friendly. Outdoor and indoor seating. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food and drinks are affordable and delicious, we had the pesto and cheese focaccia, ribs and flapjacks. A water bowl was brought for our fur baby without us asking, there was a jumping castle and coloring books to keep my toddlers entertained, ample space for my teens to walk our fur baby. They will be hosting a thrift market this weekend. Something for everyone! Just fantastic.

Been going there for 20 yrs, it always had a great vibe and really cheap food and drinks. It's become rather expensive compared to when it was managed under the previous management. Still a great place for students, but otherwise, I can get better affordability elsewhere.Food: 3/5

The bar and restaurant provided for decades long different experiences for different people. It went through times of cheap drinks and cheap budget meals where young and old hang out. These days you can still experience the same late back approach of 20 years ago as the green spaces and views are the same. You can get a great oven baked 40 cm pizza for less than R100. The drinks are not that "cheap" anymore and most meals are not your typical budget meals, unless you go after the specials. Service levels are laid back and food takes long. It is still worth it to give it a visit now and then. The "old mans' marble game" are not the main attraction. You can just sit back and enjoy the experience.

The service at this restaurant is absolutely shocking if not terrible. If there was a negative star, I would rate it the lowest that was available. The waiters could not cope with the amount of patrons resulting in an over three hour wait for food Including three milkshakes. At the time of this post, we had still not received our order. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are hungry, because there is certainly no indication from anyone including the waiter of how long the orders would take. What was supposed to a festive season lunch with colleagues after a crazy year, this experience was just painful.

Never in my life, have I experienced such bad service. I would take my team there weekly for lunch. Today, my colleague was served chicken wings that were off. She requested them to go back to the kitchen and bring a burger instead. They refused to remove the wings from our bill as they had been "delivered today" after an hour of fighting with so "called manager" the waitress had to pay for the wings so she can go deal with other clients. I have never seen such bad customer services considering our bill was over R1000 and they refused to remove the "R57 wings" Needless to say stay away, the owner and management disjointedness is pathetic.

Clean, safe and comfortable surroundings. Food was delicious, the pizzas are massive! Good value for money. You will need to wait if you are a big group, because the bar takes slightly longer than average.Food: 5/5

Deserves 0 stars. Their chicken wings are undercooked and they still want you to pay for it even if you dont eat it. Please do not eat here. Seems like they are okay with their customers getting food poisoning. Will never recommend anyone to go here. Staff are unfriendly, unreasonable and just uninterested in retaining any customers. In addition if they make an error on your bill they cannot take it off even if it is their error. Go to any other place to eat and drink but here.

Very cool family spot. Big pizzas at reasonable prices and the service was fantastic. You can rent out the greens and play bowls at a fee per person.Food: 5/5

First time we've been since the reopening and we weren't disappointed! Still the same vibe with excellent service and great prices. We'll be back!Food: 4/5
