I actually met Dr. Borkowsky and her staff earlier this year to address some aggressive sudden onset contact dermatitis during a business trip to NY. Dr. Borkowsky was able to squeeze me in on very short notice and quickly diagnosed and treated my condition. Fast forward 9 months and I'm now a resident of Manhattan and returned to her practice for some new skin issues. I was pleasantly surprised when Lynn remembered me when I called to make the appointment. I arrived for my appointment and Dr. Borkowsky saw me exactly when scheduled and also remembered me, even teasing me a little about my panicked office visit earlier this year. She was professional and extremely knowledgeable but has a knack for keeping things casual and personal too. I feel like most of my doctors treat me like just another patient in their busy days, while Dr. Borkowsky's approach convinces me that she really cares about her patients. Something that is also conveyed through her staff which is why I'm taking time to applaud her extraordinary practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Borkowsky for five years. She is an excellent, well trained, attentive and ethical dermatologist and, in my case, she effectively treated me for conditions previous dermatologists at Columbia University refused to treat, causing me to see multiple dermatologists for each of my conditions. I am now free of any skin problems after having spent years seeking help. I should point out that she has only ever charged me a co-pay and has a well run, courteous office.

DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR! She is the absolute worst! I have never left a review for anyone or anything but this experience was something I had a very hard time stomaching. Dr Borkowsky double dips. She charges you a copay just to step into her office and then tells you that the dermatological procedure isn't covered under your insurance so you need to pay out of pocket as well (meanwhile she use to do the same exact service for me just with a co-pay so who knows if she is even telling the truth). I have NEVER heard of this before. Its called fraudulent billing! If it isn't covered under insurance you should not be paying a co-pay on top of the out of pocket expense. She is a crook!!! She also gave me cream that was over a year expired and when I told her she literally said "who cares, I use 4 year old cream all the time." For someone who charges an arm and a leg for an "out of pocket procedures" plus a "fraudulent" co-pay I would expect much better service and professionalism. Never will use her again!
