Dendy Engelman, MD: Cosmetic Dermatologist at MDCS

I'm a regular patient of Dr. Dendy Engelman and this past Friday my friend and I came into the office for Fraxel treatment. This was my first time getting Fraxel and I was very nervous, but Dr. Dendy and nurse Lucia were extremely knowledgeable, patient and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Nurse Lucia took before pictures and Dr. Dendy came in to confirm where we were getting treated (face and chest for me; face for my friend). Lucia applied numbing cream on our faces and we waited for the numbing cream to take effect. We got the baby-Fraxel treatment because my friend and I are in our late twenties and wanted something preventative. When it was my turn, Lucia removed the numbing cream and within seconds I was being zapped - Lucia held a cool air nozzle to my face while Dr. Dendy deployed the laser. I felt a few zings (the tip of my nose and collar bone is where I felt it the most) but before I knew it she was done. I have a very low pain tolerance and I'd do this treatment again in a heartbeat. I'm so thankful to Dr. Dendy, Lucia and her entire staff for making me feel at ease.
