Semi longform account follows: I had a (second) biopsy of a basal cell that was taken by a dermatologist on Park Avenue who was out of network and couldn't provide adequate follow up. She also failed to inform me that it was unlikely to heal but didn't report back to my primary or assist me in finding a surgeon who could perform MOHS. Short 2 weeks later it was grotesquely infected and I was scrambling. Without a referral, I booked an appointment at the MDCS 820 2nd Ave through a lookup of dermatology centers covered by my insurance plan. I arrived completely unprepared and without a referral. Nas at the front desk was a superstar. She was patient and understanding of my situation. Together we were able to get a referral from my insurance provider (not my primary care doctor), then the results from the other dermatologist, etc until they ushered me right through and into a MOHS procedure almost within 2 hours of arriving. The staff working alongside Dr's Engelman and Amin were all professional, kind and helpful. Seems like a great place to work for up and comers looking for a learning environment. Most grateful for the care. 5 stars pending... ;-)

The doctors are awesome and the staff is very friendly also very good when it comes to time they have you in and out fast... My only complaint is that the doctor request a follow up appointment to see me for the last two weeks and I’m charged my copay so it’s cost me $60 for the last two weeks. A follow up appointment should not require a copay.

I absolutely love this place they made me feel so comfortable i met with dr Kim and Davena and they were so informative and took there time to figure out what was the issue
