Always fun at the 815. Atmosphere is excellent. Very casual, dark and quiet enough to have a conversation but still a bar full of life. Service can be slow depending on the staff available. This a regular stop of ours during the Taco Tour.

I use to love this place - great environment, good food and good selection of drinks; however, I will never support this business again. I went recently with a friend from South Carolina and they refused to serve her. The man at the front (beard and longer hair) denied her ID, claimed it was fake by folding it, didn't have a scanner to prove otherwise and caused a whole uproar where they then threatened to call the police and wouldn't give her her ACTUAL ID BACK! The whole scenario came of as a bit racist by the end, which is never a fair and just thing. They finally complied by giving her her ID back and we left immediately and went to another place that would serve us in a respectable manner. Terrible customer service, manager wasn't present to help with anything. The man at the front then followed us OUT and told us to pay. We barely ate or drank anything but they didn't serve our party appropriately so we left. He accused us of stealing and said some demeaning things about our work - I will not specify here. They have lost some great customers, which is unfortunate because the place really had something going for themselves. If I could I would give them a big fat 0.0 star rating after this occurrence.

This place, is swinky, quaint and downright a blast. From the moment you enter, you're transported back into time. With the front door man, Tiny, running the front, things were smooth sailing upon entry. Sarah mans the prohibition door into the establishment and she is perfect for the job. She's gorgeous, tattooed, and presents a perfect gangster's( figuratively speaking) wife. We get seated at a mood-lit high top and Catherine is our waitress extraordinaire. We order a few top us get a few drinks and the night is under way. Their original drinks are fantastic. I had two different ones my wife had two different ones and all four of them were delicious. Not for the faint at heart. We had the cheese tray. I had the meat tacos and we tried that with a hummus plate. All of it was so tasty. Ryan, one of the proprietors, came over and spend some time with us, got a chance to know us, and bestowed upon us a delicious pineapple martini shot. Holy crow was that amazing. This place is just fantastic we can't wait to go back.

The drinks are pretty expensive compared to other bars in Manchester. The drinks were good but I felt like I was paying more simply because of the bars unique theme.
I would have liked to see more of a commitment to a prohibition era theme. The graffiti and skulls seemed out of place to me (although I assume it's related to the fact that 8one5 could be interpreted as 'Bones').
I did like the seating as I was able to sit comfortably and have a conversation with my friends without shouting, which is a problem for most bars in the area.

The secret entry was the best part and super fun. Loud atmosphere. Comfy couches / chairs to sit at, but... we all had to 'lean in' to hear each other. Creative drinks were hit or miss taste-wise; all of them were expensive. Food was amazing but portions were tiny for the money.
