I purchased an acoustic guitar which required set up to lower the action on the strings. I'm glad I found Mike! He truly showed himself to be the expert I needed to take care of my new acoustic "addition". Mike has so much knowledge, and he takes time to provide you his honest opinion on work needed. He was very accommodating to adjust things until I was fully satisfied. He also took good care of my vintage Fender Telecaster. I highly recommend Mike for his expertise and down to earth customer service. I found the place to go whenever my guitars need some TLC.
After searching a few local guys, I landed on Mike and instantly hit it off. He understood exactly what my vision was and had an extremely pleasant visit with him and his wife. Mike took a down payment, which is very admirable to not charge in full beforehand, and after a short while, the turnaround has been incredible. He really made my guitars the best they could be. Flawless fret dress, amazing setup, and even converted one of my guitars to speed knobs at no extra cost. One of the coolest cats for sure and the convo alone was worth the money. You can absolutely trust Mike
My old work horse Les Paul was not what it used to be. I've had it for 22 years and it's been heavily played during it's career. I came across Mike and he was able to bring it back for me. He was able to salvage the original frets, nut and tuners. He also corrected some wiring issues. I'm happy with how he handled my old buddy. The guitar means a lot to me. Mike is highly skilled in his trade. Something I picked up on that after a few minutes of talking to him. You can trust him with your valuable instruments. I'll be back. Thanks Mike
Recently acquired a Martin Acoustic Electric with a neck that was slightly bent and an action so hilariously high the strings sat nearly an inch off the neck. I took it to A-string Instrument, the workshop of the highly talented craftsmen, Mike Cox. He simply does excellent work. The action is wonderful and the guitar sounds amazing. The price was very reasonable and Mike is obviously one of the rare specimens so dedicated to his craft he takes genuine joy in watching his customers so pleased with his fine handiwork. Skip the middleman--take your instrument directly to the source! Thanks Mike!
After reading Mike’s reviews I decide to take my Taylor to Mike. Man did I do the right thing. Mike went up and above on my Taylor. He gave me a custom action set-up that will help me as a beginner. Now I have someone I can trust and rely on who is very passionate about there work. He did not make me feel like a entry level player. He explained everything to me and answered all my questions and more. Great turn around at a reasonable cost. If your looking to have it done correct, then go see Mike. Thanks again Mike
Mike did a fantastic job setting up my guitar and fixing the pickup selector. He took the time to help educate me as a beginner and answer all of my questions thoroughly. His knowledge and passion for the craft is top notch and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else! Thanks Mike!
I took my '54 single P90 Les Paul custom reissue in to mike. He reworked my frets and set it up better than it came. I can't believe how much better it is now! I can feel the sustain in my bones! Mike is your go to guy people!
