I dropped off one of my guitars there, it was completely screwed up in every way and it's even a floyd rose. Had it done in 3 weeks however the wait was much worth it. Picked it up and it plays and sounds like an $XXXX guitar. Bill Foley is a wizard, I'm amazed by his work. If you need any work at all to your guitar this is the go to.
Bill Foley is a master electric guitar builder. He can make an electric guitar play, sound and look the way you want it.
The man knows what he’s doing. Brought my jazz master in to get a setup. I had an accident a few years ago that involved me losing the tips of my fingers. They’re super sensitive to strings. I explained my situation to him and he took care of me. Thing plays like a beauty and doesn’t kill my fingers. He knew exactly what would make it comfortable for me. Even introduced me to my new favorite strings. Wonderful experience with them.
UPDATE! 03/15/2018: There's only a few things in this word that are certain. One of those things just so happens to be Mr. Bill Foley's consistent masterful work on electric guitars. Thank you sir for the incredible job on my Jackson Warrior - just amazing workmanship. ****** Growing up in D.C. - the guys in my band would always go to Bill Foley's book for setup and repairs. It was our 'YOUTUBE' for guitar repairs back in the day. Who would have thought when I moved to Columbus, OH that I would eventually meet Mr.Bill Foley who was also kind enough to sign my book as well as, do setup for my Gibson Explorer. He is still considered the Artisan of guitar repair till this day. Don't take your instrument to anywhere else. Let the master do his thing and you will see for yourself.
Bill had my 93 strat plus... he done a set up. Fret work, action changed out the roller nut for the bone nut. He also took out the hip-shot transetter for a newer type for the tremelo!!!!! This guitar now plays so much better, easier and feels amazing!!!! He now has my Epiphone les paul slash guitar, can't wait to get it back Thanks again Bill, you rock
Bill was really understanding, easy to talk to, and he’s got some great stories. Definitely gonna be coming back.
I went to the Music Haus because I've been wanting to get into playing guitar. Visiting the location was an enjoyable first-time experience. I've never purchased a guitar before, so I wasn't sure what that process entailed. Bill and I chatted about what I was looking to get out of the instrument and he answered my preliminary questions. Then we spent some quality time looking through the impressive selection until I found an acoustic that was an excellent fit for me while staying in my budget. If you're looking for a positive experience to break into the world of guitar playing, I'd recommend stopping by here.
Got a new bone nut and setup fret work done on an ESP LTD 5 string bass and it plays like never before. Effortlessly. Bill did a great job on this and it was worth every penny. Definitely recommend his work to anyone needing instrument repair. Prices are fair as well.
I have purchased several used guitars from Bill, 1 electric and 1 acoustic. The acoustic - Bill let me lay it away and pay it off as I couldn't afford at the time. It was a Martin and worth every penny. Did not want to put it on a credit card. Most places lay away is like 90 days. I will admit it took me almost 8 months nickel and diming to pay it off. I still play this guitar frequently and this was back in 2005 when I bought it. All of my many guitars are not complete until I get it set up and add a new bone nut. Bill is the only guy I want working on my guitars !
I have always taken my basses to get a full work over every few years, Bill treats my basses as his own. Always the best work, in a timely manner, at a great cost for services rendered. Always up for conversation and knows his stuff... I don't trust my babies with just anyone. Bill is the man. Keith Newsome, 4, 5 and 8 sting bass player.
