Small place, very clean with friendly staff. The seaweed salad was pretty good. But the sushi here was really delicious. Very fresh fish/seafood, large portions, flavors were really good. Service was pretty quick, as we were finishing our rolls they would bring more. Highly recommend. Interested to try their happy hour sushi.
Delicious food, great prices, fast service, small and cozy restaurant. I'll come here again when I visit Washington DC. Its very popular, lots of guests and people in line waiting for a table. We ate Pho/noodle soup it was soon good. My kids at sushi and the loved it. Come here, you won't be disappointed. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: My kids loved their sushi
The ambience of this restaurant was pretty good, making us feel like travel outside of DC briefly. Brussels sprouts and sushi roll were good/acceptable. Ramen was not very authentic, and the ingredients felt a bit cheap. Overall, I might consider ordering items except ramen in this restaurant if I ever come back.
The cheapest and best tasting sushi you can order around the National Mall. They have amazing happy hour options with several pieces of Nigri ranging from $1-3. They also have medium fatty and fatty tuna options at market price. The service was quick, and I enjoyed the outdoor seating. I left extremely satisfied and would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.
Go here instead of Kura Revolving Sushi. There was no wait on a Saturday evening at 6 pm. The service was great and food reasonably priced. Sushi was great. We had 4 roles, 1 appetizer, 1 chicken teriyaki entree, and 3 sides for about $100. Pretty good for DC. I recommended it!
Went for the happy hour sushi. No special prices on sashimi, but pretty impressive prices on quality ngiri and rolls. Service was great, sushi was prepared quickly, and they had gluten free soy sauce, which I appreciated. Will definitely be back! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free soy sauce was available
Very tasty! I got a sushi roll and miso soup. I took a while to decide on what I wanted and they were really nice about it. I wasn’t rushed at all. Great customer service. Clean and cute place. Yummy food.
JUST GO! Total: $97. The place was clean. The food was very good! I had the VA, Maryland, Dc, green dragon, crab California, and honey shrimp roll. Shrimp tempura, salmon, and tuna nigiri. And don’t forget the miso soup ordered 2. This miso soup tasted fresh. The servers were very polite. I went during a Monday afternoon. I missed the $1 sushi. Anyways I recommend this place Parking: It’s street parking but its scarce. It’s a good place to go if you are walking
Following a busy day of walking around DC checking out museums and monuments, we had worked up a big appetite and wanted to try out a local ramen bowl. There was an anime convention underway and all of the ramen restaurants in the area were besieged by cosplayers desperate to get their noodle fix. We walked into Absolute Noodle and Sushi Bar and all seating was full except for the bar, so we sat there. The staff were very attentive to us and kept our waters and teas full. All of us wanted the miso ramen, so we ordered three bowls of that. Although we had been told the wait was about 40 minutes for the kitchen due to the crowd, our food came out in about half that time. The ramen broth was somewhat simple compared to other shops I've been to, but still tasty and flavorful. The pork was well-prepared, so tender it was almost falling apart, and there were portions of seaweed and seasoned bamboo shoots. The noodles were good. All-in-all, this is a class ramen shop and worth a visit. We were glad we stopped in.
This is easily one of the best noodle and sushi bars downtown. It’s a little off the heavy trafficked area so it’s nice to always be able to get a table! The staff is very welcoming. They have THE BEST bulgogi udon noodle soup I’ve ever had. So perfect on a chilly autumn day. The wagyu beef dumplings were delicious. And the sushi was delicious as well. Can’t wait to come back again and again!
