Academy Sports + Outdoors

I called yesterday and talked to an associate who verified a bicycle was in stock and would be held for me. After driving 4 hours today to pick up the bike I was told they could not find the bike and it was not in stock. I tried to talked to the manager but after waiting 30 minutes he was less then helpful or willing to do anything other than say the bike was not in stock. Not once did he apologize or say he was sorry. When asked the manager refused to call the associate to ask where the bike was.

I love this place. So much better then any other sporting goods store I have been too. staff is always friendly and very helpful!! They prices are very reasonable and I don't ever feel like I am being ripped off.

I have yet had the pleasure of going in the store but was extremely impressed by the no haggle return policy. My boyfriend bought his son a set of weights for Christmas and they never got used si he called out there this past weekend and they told him to bring them back and the even unloaded the weights out of the truck and brought them into the store for him. Now I really can't wait to do some shopping there!

This store lacked some of the basic sports equipment that you would want for field hockey. It is more of a generic sporting good store nothing that special or specialized. The price is reasonable and the service was good.

Always find great deals on apparel here. Great camping equipment at affordable prices too. Customer service is also quite good. I find this store to be better stocked with better prices than area competitors.
