A gem. Huge collection of Ankarawax print. Know what you're looking for. Don't assume all African print fabrics are the same...and you'll be fine. The owners are very helpful and friendly. It's bustling and you'll definitely go on a treasure hunt and get a work out but that's part of the joy for me.

Unbelievable!!! My fiancé and I came to the store to find fabric for our wedding. Upon our arrival the lady at the store stated she needed to make a money transfer and would have to run to the bank we waited 30 minutes after driving from Alexandria VA…. Once we got in the store the lady was all over the place she didn’t show a care or concern for any of the customers in the store. Once she finally got to us she forced an overpriced lace on my fiancé… something didn’t seem right so I FaceTimed my mother for consulting while on the phone she continued to emphasize no pictures no pictures no picture she even accused my mother of taking picture during of FaceTime after that I had enough and left before I disrespected our African Mother…. I manage and managed Fortune 500 companies and by far this is one of my worse experiences as a customer!!! Sorry no sorry learn how to treat your customers

Horrible customer service!! I love to support my African aunties but sometimes the rudeness is not worth it. Keep your comments to yourself and sell your market, simple! Even if I saw what I wanted to purchase, I'd rather go elsewhere and spend money with people who are polite.

If less than 1 star was a rating that's what they would get. Been 2 weeks no reply about order. Contacting was told will call back. Still waiting. Called today woman in the warehouse hung up every time I called and tried to explain. Beautiful fabrics but these people are thieves. Will find someone else who's honest, trustworthy and caring employees.

They have an astounding amount of fabric available. They sell a majority of them precut 6 yards. Great fabric, great pricing, patient customer service, AND a new location just opened in Beltsville. This is the best fabric shop in Metropolitan Maryland. I was a big fan of the shops on University Boulevard for the last 10 years, but this shop is like a warehouse for African fabrics!! They are very rude and unprofessional they had my order for almost one month now. I called and text severally instead they block me from whatapp and they asking me to buy another fabrics after spending over $260. It very sad that our own African mom and sister can behave like this. We leave everything in God's hands

Been going here for a while now! But today I we stopped by to find fabric for my Fiance's wedding suite. We found EXACTLY what he was looking for in little to no time at all! There is a wide Variety of options here, but you have to be willing to do a little digging! You will DEFINITELY find what you are looking for at Aftican Eleganza. The owner is knowledgeable of her inventory and produced/directed us to each item we inquired about. She gave us contact info for a custom Mens tailor which was a BIG HELP as I don't have any contacts for mensware. We would ABSOLUTELY be back again, and recommend this shop to others.

I ordered last year for blk history and was very satisfied. Chkd yesterday to order and wow, you've changed your website. I like the other one better, it was much easier to order from. The quality of the fabric is EXCELLENT

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS STORE. 1. the store is never opened during advertised hours 2. prices advertised on their website are not honored 3. NONE OF THE FABRICS AT THIS STORE ARE AUTHENTIC, they're Chinese knockoffs 4. salespersons are rude and disrespectful. Just a trashy business all around.
