When I first moved here Mrs Janet use to braid my hair ! 2014 Since then she moved back to here home land and her sister Yvette has taken over, 2022 . Great shop, great experience and awesome braider. I had a great experience with Janet . She started my hair on time and finished my box braids in 5 hours !! She braids very fast , but all of my braids are the same size and length. Braids are very well gripped , and not too tight . I also love that she didn’t overbook and was the only one who braided my hair the entire time. I can definitely tell that she cares about her clients . Very gifted with hair braiding . I will be going back !!

I have had my hair braided at African Quick Hair Braiding for many years. I have tried different styles and have loved them all. Janet and her staff always do an amazing job. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for quality and quick service. I wanted to try very long braids for an upcoming beach trip and it only took 6 hours for Janet to complete the style. Like I said, AMAZING!

I’ve been getting my hair done for a year with Miss Janet. It always comes out perfect, head doesn’t even hurt afterwards. I’m super weird about who touches my hair so it took a long time to develop that trust. Miss Janet is away on vacation and It’s completely different service now. Got my hair done a few weeks ago cornrows but the lady who did them was 45 minutes late to my appointment and honestly I had sores in my head afterwards, nevertheless these things happen so it wasn’t a big deal then. I’m extremely forgiving I work in customer service as well. Yesterday I called to make an appointment I told the lady 9am she told me 8am would work better that was actually great for me because the earlier the better! I got there this morning and no one was there. I called and called and called no answer. Pretty disappointed. It took me forever to find a hair place I trusted and loved here. Now I’m on the hunt for something new. Edit**** I gave them another chance and the service is better than ever! Only place I’ll go in Charlotte for sure! Sorry for the earlier review! I recently had my third visit with Janet and I can truly say I have been pleased with each visit. Janet does a great job at making sure she understands the look the client wants to achieve and if needed, will offer her suggestions. This recent visit I received Goddess Locs. I was nervous with getting this style because it was something new for me. Janet took time before starting to look at pictures and discuss the different hair types for the look I desired. After finishing the sides she curled one side and waved the other side so I could have a good visual to help me decide on the finished look. In the end, as usual Janet far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Janet to anyone who is looking for a professional braid stylist.

Ms. Janet is the only person I'll let braid my hair. She's fast, friendly and doesn't braid my hair too tight. Her prices are also reasonable. I definitely recommend getting your hair braided here. She does all styles of braids and works with any hair type!

Love my braids and she definitely worked quick. Made a big difference for me pregnant, just finished 12hr shift, uncomfortable in every seat I so appreciate my experience and will definitely recommend!
