Agave Mexican Grill & Cantina

This location is not the one I would patronize given the choice. I came with a couple of girlfriends and our 11/12 year old boys and 2 younger children. The server was incredibly short with us. The food was good but it was not what I have come to expect. I am very bothered. The manager even stood in the corner and watched our table receive terrible service. The vegetables were cold. The server didn’t refill our drinks and the manager never approached to help. I will NOT return to this location. Terrible!

Tea spilled, forced donations. One of my worst experiences at a restaurant. Started out with waitress spilling an entire cup of iced tea on me and my phone (Which, OK, mistakes happen. She apologized. My issue here is with management, as you will see). I went to the bathroom to wash what I could off and dry the rest. When I came back the manager was way more concerned about the table not being sticky and not at all concerned about the patron that tea was spilled on. I asked him for some paper towels to dry my phone off with and that was the only experience I had from him. No apology. Then mid meal a group of women came in, headed straight to our table and started singing with the expectation of a tip at the end. They handed over a book to sign with a lot of obviously fake donations - $20, $40, $60, etc. This is a common scam in larger cities. For one short half-song. I gave them $5 and they walked out of the restaurant. The manager watched all of this happen from the corner and never intervened or tried to fix any situation. Not going back here and I'll deter every friend I have from going.

Ordered the chicken and steak burrito. Both were well seasoned and delicious. Lots of meat in both. Experience was excellent. Server was polite and attentive. Will be back.

Food is standard Mexican fare, with a bit of cajun flair in some of the dishes. Very good place to go and listen to music, as they have local bands frequently.

Our experience was so horrible we will probably never return again, poor staff experience and the food experience was insulting as well as embarrassing for whoever the chef was that day. Maybe this is a good place to party and order drinks but the food isn't worth it, try Blue Apache for a close to authentic Mexican restaurant.
