Service was really slow today and it was a little busy.. There were only two people there for guests - the bartender and one waiter. Bottom line, this is a great place to eat ramen and I recommend trying one of their locations. It's good for appetizers, and drinks as well.
I like Agu for ramen. It is easily in my top 3 of Hawaii. Although I feel like their standard bowls are lovely to look at, they slightly miss the mark as far as being comparable to Japan. Where they do hit and pass the standard is on their own awesome bowls like the chili cilantro bowl. Spicy, tangy, smooth, tasty, this is a perfect match for the noodles they pair with it. It is that good and one of my favorite go to ramen in the island. I don’t have to compare this with anything since they are the only ones that have it. It’s expensive at around $18.50 with extra noodles but it IS good!!!!! They still take a little too long to bring out the gyoza and they are almost too fast at bringing out the ramen, but the service is excellent and the food is great!
This is a great place to eat with quality food and friendly service. It can get a little busy because the space isn’t that large but definitely don’t let that discourage you from trying it out. For those who like it hot definitely consider adding your own level of spice to each ramen dish and the pupus are also very tasty. Depending on how much you want to spend it can definitely cost a bit more than some of the other shops but it makes up in quality and taste.
Easily the best ramen I've ever had. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu and It was just absolutely delicious! Comparing to Daiichi and Ramen ya, Agu is definitely on the more expensive side. $14-$17 per bowl of raman. To me it's worth every penny. They don't have a bunch of sprout peas on the bottom of the bowl to take up space. Just ramen, the protein that it comes with and the most delicious broth ever.
Aug Ramen is absolutely delicious! The restaurant is clean and trendy. The wait staff is really friendly and service is fast. And did I mention, the food is AMAZING?!?!
Great ramen place. Service is prompt. Ramen is tasty and you can pick your spicy level. Gyoza is crisp and hot!
They serve the best spicy ramen in Hawaii!!! Wow! Like it so much!!
Great place for a quickish bite. Closed or closes early on Easter Sunday. Arrived at 6pm and it wasn’t open. *Edit: one week later, mission accomplished and would recommend to people.
Enjoyed this ramen location and at multiple ones around Oahu, Innovative Hot Mess is excellent
I love this place! After moving from Japan I was pretty bummed thinking I wouldn't find ramen up to my newly increased standards but Agu definitely changed my mind about that! I usually get the spicy kotteri which is fantastic and I've had the bari kote which was also great when i wasn't in the mood for any spice. They even do takeout Don't worry, the soup and noodles are packed separately. The interior of this branch is cute, small and clean with a nice modern aesthetic. Highly recommend!
