Akami Sushi

Ordered food from here today and I am not sure if they were having a bad day or it was just me, the fish was off and I mean literally off, the seaweed was tough as leather. I have no idea why and the whole thing tasted rancid. even the rice tasted weird, I Literally took apart 1 roll and tasted everything individually to make sure, I was not going mad. I am not sure what happened but if you are thinking of ordering might wanna save your wallet. P.S There are a lot of good reviews online for them so I honestly believe it was a mistake and a bad day but they are never seeing a dollar of mine again ........ The two missing rolls are the one I ate and threw up and the one I took apart

Great sushi!! We ordered here late one night, the food came on time, the restaurant gave us an extra roll and the fish was so fresh. Just moved to the area and I think I found my go-to spot for takeout sushi. Would definitely recommend.

I don’t write reviews often, but this place made me so sick. I got the lunch special from here. It tasted okay, but I couldn’t finish it - it was too chewy and salty. Within a few hours I was so violently ill I couldn’t keep water down. I was sick all night and it took over 12 hours for me to be able to drink water again. It’s been almost 24 hours and I still haven’t graduated to food. I do not remember ever being this sick from food before - seriously concerned about the health and safety of the kitchen here. I didn’t even get anything raw.

Ordered through the website and my lunch special was delivered within 30 minutes. Good quality fish and I’ll be happy to order again.

We have ordered here many times and every time we are blown away. The fish is so fresh. My family and I are avid sushi eaters - this is genuinely a hidden gem in NYC. And the price! You can't beat it. Honestly delicious and amazing. One of our favorites.

there service is really bad i order 24 dollars worth and only got 1 portion from my order the dont care about they customers i asked for no avocados they still put it my food

The food was amazing from the sushi we ordered to the veggie rice. Everything tasted Fresh and Vibrant, and then to top it off the Dessert was phenomenal. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be ordering from here again. Delivery was also on time. And the order was correct. My new sushi spot for sure

Ordered the spicy salmon roll, pork gyoza, and house salad. The ginger dressing with the house salad might be the best I've ever had. The spicy salmon roll was AMAZING. Pork gyoza was good too. This is definitely my new sushi place on the UES! Edit: Tried something new last time and ordered the Beef Negimaki. I'm not a picky eater, and I had to spit this stuff out. It was awful. But the sushi was still good. Will be sticking to that from now on.

I ordered for pick up 7:38 p.m granted and I got my order at 9:00 p.m when the lady said 30 mins then I saw my order on the table but there was alot of people postmates, grubhub ect. Then comes finally she says "it's just came put 5 mins ago" when clearly I saw it there alot longer. Now it's completely cold this food is pricy. Plus nobody followed the 6 feet rule was 5 to 6 people bunched up together while i was waiting outside. Truly not a good experience.
