Possible scam! Be careful when you pick up your car...when I arrived, there were no employees, but just signs indicating which car class I reserved. I ordered a mid-sized sedan but there were only SUV's about 10 parked in that section, so I assumed they were out of mid-sized cars, which has happened to me before. After selecting one and waiting 10 minutes in line to exit, they told me it would be an "upgrade". I asked about the signage and where I was supposed to find my car class and her response was the unlabeled cars next to the building where there were no signs and no indication whether those cars were rentals or privately owned. Their excuse was "mid-sized" was a place they store "overflow" vehicles, which is clearly a ruse to coerce people to upgrade because they are in a hurry. Why would they park "SUV's" in the "Mid-Sized" section but no "Mid-Sized". Surely it wasn't incidental...someone is making money on upgrades. Seems like a scam to me.
We arrived late at night after a long day of traveling on one of the busiest days of the year, and Jared was most professional. He gave us a an upgrade because of limited options for our rental category. The rental process was smooth. Jared provided the best customer service we could ask for from a rental company. His colleague, Manny, was also courteous. We appreciate the excellent customer service and will continue to rent with Alamo in the future.
Andrew Botas, my driver, carried my bag, was friendly, thoughtful, competent and efficient. Patricia J, who checked in my car, chased me down with my phone which kept me on time for my flight. The lady who checked me out at the booth when I picked up the car was incredibly kind, generous and reassuring throughout the process. This is a wonderful, clean and friendly location and will definitely be my car rental company of choice at Hobby Airport! Kudos!
Shuttle bus driver back to the airport was rude didn't even bother to help put our bags on or off the bus and didn't even speak to us didn't say good morning or nothing to us then he rudely asked us what terminal we was heading when that should have been the first thing he should have asked before we sat down. I don't care if it was early in the morning or not you should always make people welcome even if we was on the bus temporarily for 5 mins. Besides that the rental was awesome all the other employees were very helpful in my short time there.
The Alamo branch at Hobby airport is great!! Norval Edwards and Carlton helped me get back to my hotel after I turned in my car late at night. They were so helpful and kind. Thank you so much. I'm renting Alamo from now on.
I had good experience with them. The prices of the insurances are detailed in the counter. the Cars and SUV rented have being in great conditions. When you make a reservation, keep checking several days later, because the cost of the reservation may drop. If you have a membership of any Club, the reservation can be cheaper and get some free benefits.
Remy rental agent was terrific! Courteous, fast as can be, knowledgeable and a commitment to customer service that’s second to none. Reasonably priced rental cars and exceptional service. 5-stars.
We had a rental that was picked up and set to drop off at this location. When we asked if we could drop it in St.louis MO we were told it would be an $800 fee on top of the $200 some odd for extending the drop off for 2-3 days. They didn't mention leasing a new vehicle I looked online and saw that a new lease for two days would be close to $300 saving $700 compared to what they quoted us with the fee We made a new reservation and once we dropped the original vehicle and picked up the new one we were told there is no $800 fee if we make a new lease agreement and that could have been done with the original vehicle without dropping it off. Once the vehicle was in the drop off queue it could not be taken out. All in all it was a lot of wasted time and hassle due to poor training or management. We called twice to the location and once to their customer service line and no one said anything about making a new lease agreement on the original car we rented. I know not eveyone will be in this kind of situation but for us this service was horrible especially when we expressed everything 3 times but it took being there in person for someone to actually care and know what they were doing. Overall great vehicles and great rates just realize customer service is on the minimal side.
Recently, we have been coming here and the service has been great. They don’t have as long to wait as the other places. Sometimes the car selection is pretty low. The last two cars we go from here both had the service light on.
Becareful I traveled from Charleston to Houston hobby airport with family and kids I went to the Alamo desk to pick up and rent a car which I booked. They check my driving license it is a South Carolina driving license and they said that my driving license is not scanned in their system and was not recognized after a few minutes the Night shift manager told us you guys leave this place otherwise I will call the police. I was with my family and it was night time then I took Uber and came to my Airbnb. And next, we took Turo. I disappointed with their customer service.
