I have been to Alexander Recording Kopany several times. The staff is very helpful and fantastic to work with. I hope to be back soon.

I went in to the ARK with my punk rock band, Played Out. We were quite satisfied with the recordings we got at the end of the process. Dennis clearly knows what he's doing, and made sure we ended up with a killer sound that we were proud of at a great price. I highly recommend the Alexander Recording Kompany to anybody who wants to record their music independently.

I recently spent a week at the ARK in Ames, Iowa, working on my record. From the very beginning of the process (months before the actual recording took place), Dennis was simply fantastic to work with. He always responded to my questions in a timely fashion. Once we actually arrived at the studio, he was great too - friendly, knowledgeable and simply fun to be around. He treated me and all the other musicians who worked on the record like family - this included him making us homemade Carolina BBQ(!). As far as the studio itself - the ARK is a truly gorgeous studio space equipped with top of the line gear. There were plenty of places for people to hang comfortably in between takes, and the studio was impeccably clean. All of the little things that help make a session run smoothly were always fully stocked (plenty of water, soda, juice and beer in a fridge, snacks on the counter, plenty of toilet paper.). Dennis was always happy to call and order lunch/dinner etc. for us so we could work with minimal interruption. In short, it was an incredibly productive, friendly environment - I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend both Dennis and the ARK.

ARK was not only professional, but an enjoyable space to work in. Dennis has put blood, sweat, and tears into it. It has paid off. Dennis works hard to draw the best out of each musician. Almost every room on the main floor has XLR inputs so you can record in any room. The live room has plenty of space for a large band to live track. The ARK drum set is fantastic for the sound we wanted. Overall, I had a lot of fun recording with Dennis at ARK and our band is really happy with the end product.

Recording at ARK was a fantastic experience. Dennis has a great balance of allowing you to make your project sound the way you want it as well as encouraging the best final product. The atmosphere allowed us to spend entire days at the studio creating our record in comfort as well as productivity. The goal of ARK is to give the customer a product that the customer can be proud of and is exactly what they are looking for. Dennis did this for me and the boys, we couldn't be happier!
