Great place to dig! Selection is always changing, they will order items for you at a decent price and will buy your unwanted records and record players. They support local bands and shows, offer music from visiting artists and the owners are very knowledgable of most music.

Didn't have more than a few records in the punk/hardcore/grind genre, but that sort of expected in central iowa. They were friendly and helpful for someone from out of town. Found local thrash, sorry, I bought it all.

Eh... Not terrible, not great. Selection was okay, but not deep or unique. If you like elctronica the selection was slim. Clerks were under the mistaken impression that the aloof apathetic record store clerk is still a viable persona.

The RC has anything and everything you are looking for and, on the off-chance they do not, the knowledgeable staff will order and receive the product in a reasonably timely manner. As for the pricing, keep in mind that this is an Iowa City Original and, to me, paying potentially a few extra bucks is well worth supporting a local business.
