All Stitched Up

I needed an evening gown done and after she put the pins in, I asked for a quote and she said $58-$65. I was cool with that price and left to pick it up a week later. She did a wonderful job With the alterations and I was ready to pay. She tried charging me $106 after I told her that was not what she quoted me at. She informed me that she's gotten In trouble before for this reason and reading the review solidifies it. She's great but beware of her quotes and actual charges.

I didn't end up using her services, but the seamstress here was so helpful and courteous. I put on the dress I was looking to get altered, and she was upfront and honest not only about the cost but the fact that the garment was far too large on me to achieve desirable results. She would do the work if I had asked her to, but she advised me not to. I know other businesses that would have taken the dress, done the shoddy work even if they knew up front it wouldn't turn out well, and demanded payment. She left an excellent impression and should I need a piece tailored in the future she will be my first stop!

I went into all stitched up to get a quote for my wedding dress. I told her I needed to get the dressed hemmed take up the straps and possibly take in the sides of the dress. She told me it would under 200 which I was ok with. I wanted to wait closer to the date of my wedding so later I took it back into her. We decided we were just going to take up the straps and hem the dress not take up the sides so she quoted me between $130-150. I went to pick up the dress today and it was $310. The dress looked nice but she told me she never gave me a quote. I just about left the store in tears for being charged twice the amount I was told.

Will never go back for a number of reasons. Had a bridesmaid dress altered a few months back and there was a very noticeable seam up the middle of the front of the dress, which really wasn't necessary considering it only needed some minor alterations and I've had many similar dresses altered in the same way before and that's never been an issue... but I'm not usually one to complain so I kept my mouth shut and paid the $80 for it. Then when I asked a simple question whether or not she offered military discounts, she went off on some rant about how military aren't the only people serving the community and how if others don't get discounts then military members aren't special and shouldn't get special treatment etc etc. (as I'm standing there holding my two month old while my husband is in Afghanistan at the time)... I would have just taken "no" for a simple answer and never thought twice about it or writing this review but needless to say I'll never give her my business again and have already shared my thoughts with many friends who won't be going there. Her loss.

Impeccable work! I brought in a pair of striped palazzo pants that needed a very strategic hemming, which was done perfectly. I also had the front pockets removed and stitched shut. Superb and friendly work!
