I am particular about my alterations. I am focused on quality not price. But I expect the price to be reasonable. So after reading some of these reviews and having my own experience with Perfect Stitches Tailoring I think I have some good input for those seeking quality work. First, Jeannine (I hope I spelled that correctly) was great to work with. She went over what my expectations were and the timeline of when I needed my clothes ready to go. She shared that some of my alterations could take longer and what the extra fees might be. I was appreciative of her sharing that with me and after picking up my clothes tonight I was VERY impressed how she went over what she did and how my alterations were EXACTLY as I wanted them to be. If you are looking for low cost i.e. the cheapest alterations possible then you will get what you pay for. If you are looking for quality work by someone who has dedicated her life to clothing then Perfect Stitches is the place for you. I will be giving all of my business to Jeannine in the future. It's just a short drive from Manhattan but worth the time it takes to find this little shop in this small town that is dedicated to making sure you are taking care of in a timely manner. Thanks to Jeannine for providing me first class customer service. I love it when I get what I pay for. My clothes fit perfectly and I am one satisfied customer. I lost my regular tailor last year and I have found my new one that will get all of my business and everyone I refer to them. 5 Stars well deserved by this business. I would have given 6 stars if it was available.

Took my husband's dress blue shirt in to be cleaned and some patches for my son's taekwondo uniform to be sewn and Jeannine was fantastic! I had called a few different places to get his patches sewn on and was very rudely spoken with due to the turn around time that I needed (same day), but Perfect Stitch was great! Very family friendly business and we will be taking our cleaning and seamstress work to them from now on!

Customer service was good, but if I would of known to have my dress shortened and the top taken in slightly would of been 195.00 I would have NEVER, NEVER gone there.. I have had many things altered and never even came close to that price. The dress cost 175.00 I feel as a customer if the alteration is going to cost more than the dress as a business it should be their responsibility to let the customer know.

I know this is a long review but trust me it is worth your time to read, I ignored the reviews and see what happened to me. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life until I decided to do business with the ladies at Perfect Stitches Tailoring. When I initially went in with my wedding dress I met with Rachel and Caitlyn to do my fitting and they were very nice to work with. My dress was full lace with beading so I had already suspected it to cost more than your average dress. At that time Rachel priced me $60 to take in the bodice, $18.75 for the boning, and $15.00 to have cups put in. She then also explained that with a dress that is all lace their is an additional charge for the extra time in which it takes. So I asked for an estimate for about what it may be and I was told $180 total. When I came back to pick up the dress the total was $394.86. I am aware that the $180 was an estimate but to be $220 off and not even give me so much of a phone call to warn me of the drastic price difference seemed completely out of line. However, I went ahead and paid to money so I was able to take my dress with me and I decided I would wait till the next day to speak with the owner about it. So the next morning after picking up my dress I called the shop and asked when the owner would be in and said that I was wanting to speak with her. When I arrived to the shop that was when I first met Jeannine Lamb the owner. She did not seem surprised to see me and almost acted as if she were expecting me. When I introduced myself and told her my situation she said she was already aware. So then when I made mention of how I thought it was poor etiquette to not even call me when they anticipated the price difference she made it very clear that it was not her problem and she had no intention to make things right or even discuss the situation with me. She said to me "you only have a wedding to pay for, I have an entire business and bills to pay." So clearly she believes that brides have all this money to spend on a wedding so why shouldn't she be entitled to a little extra. Also at one point she reached across the counter and put her hands on mine and when I asked for her to not put her hands on me she reached across once again and pushed at me. Putting your hands on another person is the most out of line thing a person can do, but not only that she mocked me as well. This situation was truly one in which I have never been in before and I became very upset and she looked at me smiling and said "oh your not going to cry are you" This is clearly the most poorly ran business in Manhattan, KS and I am ashamed to know that there are people like this in our community. In Manhattan we pride ourselves on our small locally owned businesses and a place like this casts a bad shadow over everyone else.

Perfect Stitches Tailoring is TERRIBLY over priced, would not reccomend using them. I paid 150 dollars for an alteration which was just a minor simple fix, which would have cost 30-40 dollars in my hometown to alter. Not impressed at all with their services and will not be returning again.
