Went to the alterations by L on 17th, I had orignaly come in for a bride maids dress alteration. Was told it would be done in two weeks and it was. I decided to return for my wedding dress. I brought my dress in August to have finished before my wedding that is in october. I figured it would be plenty of time if anything else needed to be done. Told her what I wanted and brought in a corcet to be put in. I was told my dress would be done labor day. At the time I didn't realize it was labor day when it was set, but she didn't either. So labor day came and I got a call from the alterations lady saying due to labor day she would get it done later in the week. She also said she would call me. Labor day week and the next went by with no call. Again I came in wondering about my dress and it was not finished. I was given a few different reasons why and wonder why other people's alterations were being done, but mine still sat there. I had to pay up front for it. So I am told to give her another week and she would call when it was done. More time goes by and I check in again. Surprise my dress is still not done and now it's getting close to my wedding. I was again given reasons why it was not done and was told she would work late to have it finished. I was asked to give her another week and it would be done. I explained it need to be done soon because of when I was leaving for my wedding. She told me not to worry it would be done. We are now at the end of September and I still have no phone call. I finally had it. I have two weeks before I leave and I don't even have my dress locked down. I fell bad, but I called the university location and blew up. It has been a month plus and my dress is not done as far as I know. The girl on the phone with me said she would figure out what is going on. By this time I was done with this and any other person would have walked out weeks ago. So knowing even if they did get it done they were not going to do it right because now I have pushed them to rush the job. I go get my dress and my refund. The lady at the store was upset by it, but I don't care. This should have been done weeks ago and I honestly believe she would have never finished it. She even made coments that I would never find anyone to do my alterations. I thought she was right because of the time I had left, but I was going to try anyway. It was better then sitting around for more stress and disappointment. I had been through enough of that already. I went to wedding elegance and asked for their help. Tried one of the two alterations people and she was full for the month. I called Sew Special and the lady got me in that day. She finished my dress in 5 days and even finished something I added to my dress the day I picked it up. So don't waste your time and add stress to an already stressful time in your life. Go to Sew Special and have Maria do your alterations. They will be done right and on time.

This place did a very good job on my bridesmaid dress but was very expensive and after picking up my dress I assumed they steamed everything so I go back in and ask why it wasn't steamed she said they charge $30 dollars for steaming! I spent over $100 there the least they could do is take 5 min. out of their day to steam it.
