Great company that provides great services! I have worked at AME for nearly 10 years and they have always treated staff and clients with respect. I have worked both in the group home setting as well as in-home services. AME offers on-site training, opportunity for advancement, great pay and the best part is they help the individuals they serve live as independently as possible. The owner and upper management are great and very knowledgeable in a wide range of developmental disabilities which allows for great training for staff. They are very flexible if you are a student or have a second job. The best part about AME is knowing they make a difference in many people’s lives.

AME is a wonderful company that offers the best services for clients. Working for AME now for nearly three years, I have found out first hand that the owner/management treat employees with respect and offer opportunities for advancement if interested. The clients I work for are a big part of my life, and I enjoy the experiences I have with them! It’s amazing being part of a company where staff only have the clients’ best interests in mind and help support each individual’s capability of independent living.

Please take caution when putting a loved one in one of the AME homes. I have a special needs cousin who is deaf and autistic. He was living in the Buffalo home for 2 years. His care drastically went down hill causing extreme behavioral issues that they tried to blame on the family. This poor kid never got out of the house and was treated like a prisoner in what was supposed to be HIS house. They have no training for employees which causes stress on both the workers and residents. We were so fortunate to finally find a new home for Chase where they treat him like an adult. He has been behavior free since the day he moved out of AME. He is thriving at school and in the social world with the other boys who live with him. Since the move he has cut back on half the medications he has taken, and has many new hobbies such as fishing and woodworking. Please please take this as a warning before you think about putting your loved one in the AME house. I feel so horrible for the care that Chase received during his stay there.

I have worked for the company for over three years, and it's been amazing. The flexibility and benefits are outstanding. There is on site training, CPR certification, first aid training and so much more provided for you! The team is understanding and is a dream to work with. The program directors and program coordinators work with you to make the best fit for you. The CEO Marty, is the best person to work for. Period. Not only is his whole heart in the company for the clients, he is so good to The staff by always doing fun activities. The clients are great and so much fun to work with. It's a career you can stay with for a life time and never be bored.

I've worked for many group homes in the past 3 years and AME is by far the best one. The consumers always come first and higher ups are always finding new ways to keep employees engaged and working to the best of their abilities. Also, program coordinators and directors are flexible and keep everything very professional but comfortable for everyone with the best interest of employees and consumers.
