By far, this is an excellent Middle Eastern food spot no matter where you compare it to. The price, quality and quantity is excellent. The food freshness is excellent. The quality of the ingredients is good, and on a random note, the value in the spices they sell is excellent. All this excellence would normally arrive you at five stars, but the only thing holding it back from a five star affordable middle eastern food joint rating is the way the owner speaks to his employees. Having a great food joint is cool, but treating your employees well is even cooler. While I don't think it's terrible, I do believe that the owner is culturally use to different behaviors that are more common someplace else. The food is worth it, but the owner needs to learn how to speak to employees, and that yelling at them in front of customers is unacceptable. By chance, we speak Arabic, and could listen to him be a jerk to his staff infront of us. Not cool.
Omg, yes. Finally! A GOOD falafel and shawarma chicken! Hummus was perfect! Grape leaf was subtle and crisp! The pickled beets were fresh and tangy! The naan is HUGE! The size of dinner plates!
Wow, this place is authentic. From amazing Greek food to other middle eastern dishes like Turkish delight or baklava for dessert, they make really delicious food. Their authenticity continues throughout from the decor to staff attire to the music. Reasonable pricing and sizeable portions. You won't be disappointed.
Such a pleasant fellow put our meals together! Wonderful food! I got gyro plate and there were so many delicious sides that came with it. Hummus drizzled with olive oil, delightfully garlicky tzatziki, pickled beets, really good fries and a terrific salad. And some of the lightest pita I’ve ever had! “I’ll be back!”
This is the place! Authentic, great service, and the food is excellent.... all of it. Huge portions and fresh! Worth a two hour drive any day!Takeout: Yes
Great portions, ordered the falafel plate and beef Shawarma. The sauces were delicious! Must try: The Naan and hummus- amazing.
Planned on dining in on a family road trip, but I didn’t realize that they have limited space for indoor dining. Nevertheless, the food we ordered wraps and a lamb platter was delicious. We ended up eating across the street at a local park where they had a picnic table. The chef was by himself so it took a while to get it. Looks like this is mostly a order ahead place so will plan better next time. I also want to try their sauces.
Nestled just north of Portland Maine is a hidden gem. No it’s not another great seafood spot or an oyster bar. This place will take you back in time to the true cultural Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Cuisine. Each dish is made from scratch, back in Texas we call that Home made. In each bit you will get a mouth satisfying taste full of the right spices and herbs known to that region. This restuarant is the heartbeat of America. It’s the small family owned business like these that truly make up our strong economy. You won’t desire fast food another day after you sink into these masterpiece platters. Dina and family are beautiful host and truly love serving the community by sharing a large part of their culture through delicious cuisine. This is a must visit spot. So when you’re in the area stop by and tell them Fredric sent you.
This place was amazing! Lots of choices, and both the vegetarian and meat dishes were great. We took a slight detour from the highway to get here and it was super worth it! Delicious, fresh food and lots of baked goods and dips that you can take home. Big portions, too. Definitely recommend!
Placed a very large order for 12 people while vacationing in Maine after reading the reviews alone. Dina's menu variety, flavors and service has set the bar for all of us. We ordered meals, wraps, sides, soups and salads. You are missing out if you haven't tried Dina's yet. So GOOD! Thank you for sharing your love of food for us to enjoy.
