I recently graduated from American Heritage, and I have to say that the curriculum taught, combined with the atmosphere of love, has truly changed my life. You will not find a staff who is so invested in the success of a scholar as you will here. I personally had five different teachers volunteer to read over my college essays and provide critiques. Students and staff support each other inside and outside the classroom. The sports programs are growing increasingly more proficient, with the girl's volleyball team going undefeated this last season. The curriculum taught calls for scholars to read original founding documents, as opposed to commentary on them. Learning the process of how to reason and think, and not what to think, is a hallmark achievement of American Heritage. The school offers many opportunities for hands on learning. Eighth grade scholars are taken on a trip to visit the historic sites of our nation's history. This summer, we will be going to Zambia in order to provide humanitarian relief. This school has been critical in developing the person I am, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
This is my first year at AHA and I absolutely LOVE it! Each day my testimony of God grows, and my education becomes better and better with the help of all of the amazing staff and teachers. Although some may not like this school because of the professionalism of it, I love it, I realize that it helps prepare me for the future. The teachers know how to help, and do help whenever they can. I love American Heritage!
Just when my family thinks we can't possibly love this school more than we already do, they do their magic and my heart expands to love and appreciate them even more. This is the result of their deep commitment to helping every scholar value their role in the world and manifest their greatest future potential. The inclusive and thoughtful curriculum build a solid foundation for academic achievements but so much more, it builds and develops solid character refinement in a supportive and loving atmosphere where the scholars feel safe to grow outside of their comfort zone. Thank you AHA for your quality devotion to growing this upcoming generation with love and positivity!
I was completely taken off guard at their graduation ceremony when their valedictorian, after stating in his talk that it had been approved by the headmaster, went on to humiliate two of his peers by name by referring to them as “who I never want to be like.” The entire ceremony came across as cliquey and excluding and I felt really spoke to the atmosphere of this school. I was so disappointed that they would allow that comment to slide at a graduation celebrating the achievement of those 2 boys who had been embarrassed in front of the entire audience. How could the headmaster approve a comment that was flat out bullying at what was supposed to be a celebration for those kids? It was super disappointing!
The staff and families that attend this school are amazing. My children greatly appreciate and love all of their teachers. On top of all this, my children have excelled in their learning since being at this school. Not only are there rigorous educational practices at AHA, but there is a good amount of fine arts programs which help my children to become more creative altogether. Overall, I am very happy about the choice my husband and I made to put our children in this school. There is a warm friendly atmosphere here. I like the values being taught here as well: Faith, Patriotism and Leadership.
We love AHA! We have had one daughter graduate from AHA, and another younger daughter there for five years. The teachers and curriculum are the best. I am comfortable knowing that, not only are my daughters getting an amazing education academically, but they are also being nurtured spiritually. American Heritage is helping prepare my daughters to become confident, well adjusted, well educated, eloquent young women. I LOVE American Heritage! The new campus is beautiful, another bonus to this amazing school.
I love this school and have enjoyed attending American Heritage Academy. They have a loving environment and welcome kids with open arms. All of the staff is willing to help the scholars in every way possible. The administration is very understanding of extraneous circumstances, while holding all the scholars to a high standard of excellence. I would recommend this school to any family that is looking for a wonderful environment for their children to receive an excellent education and learn valuable life skills to prepare them for being an productive, and valuable member in society.
Thank Goodness for This School!! Class sizes and issues with curriculum forced us out of even considering public school. We looked into charter schools, but so many of them seem to be so disorganized, with under qualified teachers. We had toured Challenger and some other private schools, and after a lot of research and prayer, we chose AHA. Our family can't say enough about the staff and teachers here. It's obvious they are with AHA because they love the school and "scholars" as they call them. Every teacher my children have had genuinely cares. They give me their cell number, we text back and forth. The class sizes keep the teachers able to focus on and learn to know each individual student. When there is any issue, I know about it right away. Second, results speak for themselves. My child is reading and writing only halfway through Kindergarten. They are performing 2nd grade math, also in Kindergarten. And, they LOVE IT! The older children at the school are extraordinarily well mannered and polite. We have had zero bullying incidents, and nothing but great mentoring from the upper class.
My daughter has attended AHA high school for 2 years. The classes are very small, much like you'd see on Little House on the Prairie sophomores, juniors, seniors in same class; about 15 or so total. The teachers mentor and teach to educational level, providing lots of individualized instruction. I am impressed with my daughter's improvement in writing in particular much more essay evaluations than multiple choice which predominates the public school system as they teach for the test. She can work at home on Mondays, and she goes on a lot of educationally-based field trips a big plus from my daughter's perspective. Her teachers and administrators make great efforts to develop her character, and I'm impressed with their performance along these lines. Although my family is not much into politics, and probably need to go to church more often, the school does not push my child to adopt particular political or religious ideals or affiliations of course there is somewhat of a bias to teach from a conservative perspective as might be expected. My child, as many teenagers do, has her own ideas about how the school should be run more optimally. However, she's made close friends who have been raised well, and she's motivated to get up without a struggle a problem at her previous school. I know she appreciates the positive attention she is provided, and when she reaches adulthood will look back at her AHA experience with very pleasant thoughts and feelings. I wish we had discovered AHA when she was an elementary student.
American Heritage Academy is the best school ever! I have attended public school for the majority of my life until my freshman year in high school. So far, it has been the best experience I have ever had. This school is like a family. The teachers and staff care about us scholars and want us to do well. I love AHA.
