We just played there basketball team in a competition. They were swearing, using racial slurs and incredibly disrespectful on and off the court. When the coach was talked to, he denied any of it there is no way he didn't hear and made excuses. I was not impressed with how they represented themselves or a school that claims to "prepare students for postsecondary studies and careers through an engaging educational program emphasizing sports leadership and management career preparation." Absolutely disgraceful.
No more holding back They'll wish for demise They thought they were invincible But you could see through their hollow lies You've seen how far they've come How many they've slain You will gladly tear their limbs apart All before they start to kill again They were seen as a threat By the moment the dragon was killed by their hand Now you're sent to demolish the foe Upon your ruler's despondent demand Something tells you they have scaled in their power Should they win, it shall be your final hour But you still have control of the fight If they mess up, you might have a chance to destroy them But is this the right path that you've taken? Are your morals correct, or mistaken? Are you sure you want to lose your mind From a legend whose power could salvage mankind? You have known for certain Your path is one of justice All those who try to obstruct shall have paid the ultimate price Yet, upon inspection Your foe is overwhelming But you remember what she tried to sacrifice Signs of self disappointment start infiltrating these putrid emotions begin to take control Symptoms of paranoia begin invading such petty emotions have sabotaged your soul Your mental fortitude is fading Losing trust, ending friendship, and rage escalating Right on the road to your sadness Watching closely as courage turns into madness Are you sure you'd want to lose your life From a witch who had caused you nothing but strife? The end has come The witch and the prophecy Deciding fates with the world on the line Who shall emerge From the ashes of calamity? How shall this fable end through these legends intertwined? End of reasoning Carnage and pain A feral sense of dominance As all the blood melts into the rain A clash of history In blood, sweat and tears This war will cause our world to change And will be remembered through the years End of reasoning Carnage and pain A feral sense of dominance As all the blood melts into the rain A clash of history In blood, sweat and tears This war will cause our world to change And will be remembered through the years
My kids are doing great at this school. I like how they All have wear Dress Code of School Uniforms. Great school. Good Teachers
If I could leave no stars I would. This school doesn't care about the kids with disabilities, they don't follow IEPs, they just suspend or rpc over behaviors related directly to their disabilities. They make excuses for everything, and have spiteful staff. The only ones who were decent were Mr. Mayville and the principal. Sorry excuse of a school honestly. Don't send your kids here, they will just be ignored or sent home constantly.
My kid attends this school and honestly, I love it! She loves it! amazing teachers that care about the students, easy to get in contact with...I am so grateful for this school!! The communication with the teachers to the parents is great! I feel as if the staff really care about my daughter. AND really want her to succeed. It is amazing the amount of effort and time this school puts into their students and parents! it truly is a family! #bulls
This school has really gone downhill. Some teachers are alright, but most are very inconsistent with how they run their classrooms. With the newer teachers starting, it seems as they're too emotional for the job. The food is also inconsistent, some days it's alright, but most it's just horrible. I've spoken with several that have caught stomach bugs from it. Overall, this school has become a place where student can only look forward to socializing with friends.
While the idea of a K-12 charter school sounds appealing, SLAM Nevada has a long way to go to meet basic expectations. Here is a list of pros and cons that ultimately led to my decision in not letting my child return next year: Pros - Grades K-12 attend the same school. - My child’s teacher was dedicated. Cons - There’s about a 30 minute window in which you will be able to pick up and drop off both elementary and high school students. Due to this you have crowding of the middle school and high school students in front of the school. There’s no real supervision so it results in rough housing and foul language being used in the presence of little ones. Nothing is really done except maybe an email telling parents that the school doesn’t condone the use of racial slurs yet it keeps on happening. - Pickup and drop off is stressful for many reasons. There is a car line but there are also many parents who choose to ignore it and drop off their children wherever the choose. - Nepotistic hiring practices resulting hiring of teachers without proper credentials. When an issue does arise administration sides with the family they hire. - The fundraising, they love their fundraising. More thought, organization, and communication is spent on fundraising efforts. You have your spirit shirts, Friday free dress for a dollar, weekly donut sales, 3rd party school fundraising, plus they want to charge students for every little thing i.e ice packs that are not returned to the nurse. I don’t mind contributing every once in a while but what SLAM does is over the top. - Due to the pandemic, I inquired if there was any distanced learning options available, I was told SLAM does not offer any. Come to find out, SLAM stated in their reopening plan for the 2021-2022 year would include support for distance learning it was only to look good on paper . - They harp on attendance and are trying to boost attendance rates. Sorry you can not expect to have perfect attendance from students in the middle of a pandemic, especially if you are not providing virtual learning options and are not exercising proper COVID precautions. - Lunch served at the school is terrible so be prepared to pack lunch every single day.
this school is bad all the kids do is play around there is a lack of education and the teacher have favorites the bathrooms are dirty there are few teachers that are nice evenly this school can improve in discipline and grades they do not enforce education. the kids play around and are on their phone most of class their are some kids who skip class.although it is cleaner than many schools. overall education is not the best and the teachers arent that bad.
Slam is an Amazing school i know because i attend there. The teachers there are amazing they teach us the education we need to know. The principal is so kind the front desk ladies are the sweetest. Slam is a terrific school overall. Go Bulls!
