American Wilderness Campground & Event Center

So I was just there this past weekend with my wife and 4 kids all the under of 15. I must have to say with lots of kids times are stressful however when we arrived we went in to check in and let me tell you that set our whole weekend family fun. The ladies at the desk were friendly and very efficient, we were given a map to our site and the fun started. This is a great family fun campground lots to do for everyone, hayrides for kids, arcade, playgrounds, basketball, volleyball, fishing and of course swimming for kids maybe a little cold but beautiful area. Bathrooms and bathhouse very clean and maintained. The store inside has was very clean and stock nicely for all your needs in a pinch. My family and I highly recommend going to this beautiful campground!!!!! Thank you for making our experience worth the trip.

Back in 2012, I was camping here with my girl scouts. It hailed and stormed the day we arrived, and our tent got wet and everything inside did as well. We spent the rest of the day drying everything. That night, more storms were on the way and the staff offered to have us sleep in the activity room. The staff is very chill and very considerate!

Coming to ohio to work on the Pipeline, but want be staying there 750.00 a month...that's West Texas prices but they ain't paying west texas wages in ohio either and from looking at the reviews glad I didn't BUT local prices might be different we get gouged everywhere we go.

this place was horrible. overcharged. dirty. not fun.

Very poor sites. No sewer or cable hookup for $45/night. Not a good place for those with Class A motor homes.
