This is a great area to go for a walk and explore outside. The map is pretty helpful although some of the markers on it didn't seem to match up with the actual placement locations for some of the sculptures. This was fine since all the sculptures are marked so it was easy to figure out orientation once we came across a sculpture. The sculptures are all interesting and thought-provoking. This area is suitable for all ages although some of the terrain may be challenging for persons with disabilities or strollers.

The selection of sculpture includes artists from many countries. Some trails are quite steep and maintenance is mixed. But the experience is well worth a trip out of one's way. A wide variety of approaches and media makes for delightful surprises along AIA's many trails.

Climbed the hill taking the less steep "bunny" trail up to the very top where the benches are for the view to the west with the phoenix in the foreground. We then made our way back down zigging and zagging across the hill as we walked the "terraces" taking in the sculptures. At the end took a shortcut down one of the mountain bike trails. We loved some of the sculptures, others perplexed us, but all got us thinking. A few of the signs explaining the works were faded but for the most part we could read what the artist wanted to convey. Some of the trail signs were so faded we couldn't read them but we pretended to be water and just headed down hill to the parking lot. There is a porta potty at the parking lot at the bottom. You want to bring water to drink in warmer months as we didn't see any be place to get water at the top. The road going up was closed by a gate so to do this park you will need to be able to go uphill and uphill and uphill; very small kids and older folks who huff and puff may want to do something else. Kids five and up will be fine and some energetic four year olds are likely fine as well. Fun afternoon!

Nice hill to wander around and enjoy nature and over 100 sculptures scattered throughout the woods.

Nice walk with interesting sculptures. Free parking. Donation optional. Hard to know which trail you are on but small enough that we didn't get lost...and probably hard for anyone to get lost. The old quarry trail was interesting and pretty.
