Anita's Mexican Restaurant

When we first tried Anita’s near the time they first opened we found it wanting, the food was bland, service so-so. BUT now!!! Great service, the food is the BEST Mexican you’re going to find in Lake Wales. It’s a small family run business and you can taste the love in the food. Go out on a limb and try some traditional dishes, something other than burritos, enchiladas, etc. If you like spicy we recommend the chipotle chicken, it’s jump up smack your momma good! Highly recommend this place.

Outstanding authentic Mexican tamales and other great dishes in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. The staff are friendly and efficient. Salsa is homeade and yummy! This place is a Lake Wales best kept secret! Try it and your palate will thank you.

Very good family restaurant. Good selection chimichanga was very good. A different sauce than I've had from other places but very good. A little pricey, for two entrees and 2 drinks, iced tea for $31. For Florida it's not bad. But if you want real authentic Tex-Mex go to Texas or Arizona or New Mexico.

The owner, an awesome individual. The food was great! Freshly made with fresh ingredients. I have it a 4 Star because the service was slow. They ran a skeleton crew so we had to wait for everything, but we didn’t mind. The food and friendly service made up for it. I will be coming back for sure!!

Two visits. First visit food was amazing. one server but wait was worth it. We had tamales and taco. Second visit still slow service but Taco's were not fresh and tasted bland. Pork tasted old and dry and at $3 per taco, I expect more. May return, may not.
