My 1 star is for the customer service we called to schedule a dinner reservation for a group of 15. The employee was appalled about the request and did we understand this is a small place? No we don't know that as we are from out of town and looking for a highly recommended restaurant in the downtown area. The employee finally agreed to accommodate our group at separate tables !!!!!! The story gets worse and in shorter words - this restaurant does not know how to handle groups because having a group of 15 is so different than taking 4-reservations for table of 4 guests. The 1-star is probably too much to give this place. I will notify event planners organization to remove you from their recommendation list. Good luck Vernon in making money :-)

Small, intimate steakhouse in the heart of Old Town. Excellent food and service. Beer and wine only, but a decent wine selection. A few seafood selections which I've never sampled, but interesting looking. Moderate pricing but wine can get expensive. Great place for a special meal.

This has to be the most overrated restaurant, not just in Albuquerque, but anywhere in the country. The prices are exorbitant, and the food quality in no way reflects that. The atmosphere is closed-in and stuffy, and anything but romantic. BUT - the worst part is that the cleanliness is questionable at best. I saw the manager/owner(?) repeatedly rearranging food on people's plates with his bare, sweaty hands, and take a piece of food off of someone's plate that was about to be served and eat it right there. At no point did he wash his hands during this entire process. How the health department hasn't shut them down is a mystery.

Service Service Service. This place really has the best in town. The food is also very well cooked, and displayed on the plate. The location it self has a very fun romantic setting for dates, anniversaries and couple style eating. I have been here a total of 10 time in the past year and it always impress me.

Valentine’s Day has come early for us due to my significant other having to be away in business. We came here with reservations made 4 days ago. We walk in, informing the attendant that we have reservations and he says “15 minutes.” And looks away, then he was informed we have reservations... he does not make eye contact and dismisses us, saying... “yeah, 15 minutes.”. We sit, waiting for 30 minutes, literally in between the fire stove that’s smoking steak and ribs and the front screen door. The place is like an old busted up trailer, with wood paneled walls on one side and old chipped stucco walls that have been painted with fresh pint over new paint... the chairs and dinner table are old and hard uncomfortable and vent right above that has a garbage bag that’s taped with silver tape to seal it off just over head. I’m super disappointed. And not I smell like smoked food and Mac and cheese for my date tonight. This is not a place to come for a romantic classy open goes shoe dress and perfume night. Come in your torn jeans, wear and face mask, and don’t come if you have asthma or reactive airway. Don’t even bother to bathe, and have a hefty wallet, this place over priced and a complete disappointment.
