Applebee's Grill + Bar

Former employee. Understand before you walk in that this place is budget friendly because it isn't high grade ingredients and is a chain, so not all that much fresh prep. That being said, you can have a really great experience there. The management team does attract a rather decent service staff. They are fast and efficient more often than not. Don't expect amazing salmon or perfect steaks, but appreciate the yummy, cheap boneless wings, good burgers, anything reasonably pulled from a freezer and heated up they can do well. Don't go to applebees and look for gourmet.

11NOV21 ~ Applebee's Grill & Bar is just the greatest! Thank you for recognizing & supporting America's Veterans! They even decorated for Veteran's Day! Today your food, service, and patriotism are unsurpassed! Our meals were tasty, well prepared, and hot. Our waitress was excellent! She was friendly, polite, helpful, efficient, and came by at all the rights times. Thank you Applebee's! One Year Earlier... Nothing really bad, hence three stars, more perplexed. Silverware: Do they not have enough silverware? Our waitress seated us but didn't give us any napkins or silverware. She then took our drink order and when she brought out drinks she still didn't bring out any silverware. I need the fork to fish out the lemon and I need the fork to squeeze the lemon using the fork as a splash guard. I asked for silverware and the waitress asked, "Do you need it right now?" Kind of a strange question. I said, "No, not right now," trying to polite. Another waitress brought out our meals and she didn't bring out any silverware or napkins. I asked her for some napkins and silverware. She responded with something to the effect, "They are running some now, I get you some as soon as it's ready." A little while later I flagged down out waitress and again asked for silverware. She said she'd check to see if it were ready. As we waited for our silverware I overheard two waitresses behind the bar talking about how you didn't have enough silverware. There were only six other occupied tables and all were singles or doubles. What happened to your silverware?!? Also, please serve salsa with the fajitas. Our food was okay, no complaints there...

The service was slow. I ordered medium rare steak with broccoli and potatoes. The steak was not cooked properly. It was swollen and dark purple. It was frozen and they put it in the microwave and put it on the grill for the look. The broccoli was under cooked. My friends steak was also not cooked properly. Her steak was so tough to even cut She had the same sides. The manager was not friendly and changed for every other little thing he could. A small cup of cheese and the A-1 sauce, drinks and appetizer. Surprisingly we were not charged for using the silverware. This is the worst Applebee's in Orleans parish. Jefferson Parish is best. They didn't even have a dinner time rush, unusual for Friday evening in New Orleans. We figured that's why we had horrible experience. I would advise to go to Jefferson Parish, 3 Applebee's locations and worth the drive. Vegetarian options: I am not a vegetarian, I know I did view vegetarian meals on menu. Parking: Big area, handicap parking in front. Ramp in front of door. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp Handicap bathroom stall

Food was ok, The bartender was my waitress. Service was ok. She was nice but I receive dirty silverware twice. It had me very nervous avout eating there. If the silverware is dirty the pots are too. There was also a weird smell like mildew flooring or seats. It was irritating smell that was hard to be avoided.Food: 3/5

Arrived 7:30,as most restaurants today, will not seat until entire party present, Seated 7:50, placed drink and appetizer order no problem, BUT WHEN IT CAME TO DINNER ORDER, 2 plates brought out about 8:45, 1@8:50, THE LAST-which was the ADVERTISED TV SPECIAL @9pm.which was refused and sent back. Our EXPERIENCED waitress apologized but between the on-duty MANAGER? and the kitchen, other tables were being served and our orders were delivered staggered to the table. Either GET RID OF THE NIGHT MANAGER OR HIRE MORE PEOPLE IN THE KITCHEN. I left my party that was served sitting @ the table. WILL NOT RETIRN. P. S. FLATWARE DIDN'T LOOK CLEAN AND. NOR WAS AN APPETIZER PLATE

We online pick up. We waited outside for 15min no one ever came out . We called to let them know we are out side, no answer! Door where lucked. A lady customer came out the door so we rushed in to get our order. Only to have a rude waitress. So sad!! Believe me no tip!!!

It looks better then it taste. They've taken a lot of items off their menu that we liked and we stopped going. We decided to give them a try this weekend and were disappointed yet again. The music was way too loud, the place was empty and it still took forever to get our food and some of the staff were more interested in huttling together then taking care of their patrons. Needles to say we won't be going back anytime soon.

The service was great. I wished they new how to cook steak. I ask for med.well and got rare. Don't like my steak breathing on my plate. Parking: Plenty of room and easy access.

My experience with Applebee's tonight was lovely! The waitress who served my table was very courteous, and checked up with me multiple times to make sure that my needs were covered. It took a while to get my food, though it was to be expected, as I ordered some steak, and my food turned out to be hot and very delicious and satisfying, with a great, hearty portion of food. It was one of the best meals I've had in months. :
