This place has been great. They are upfront, responsive and most of honest. We bought our pool robot from them and really like how we were treated. Recently the cold weather did some damage to our equipment. One call and they were out here quickly and fixed it. It’s great to know they aren’t just out to quote you the most expensive options. Numerous times they could have led me in that direction and they didn’t. Thank you Aquarian. I would highly recommend them for service, parts and advice.

I Would not recommend them. I had a pool built by them. Within two weeks of them installing and filling it I started noticing brown streaks on the side of the pool that looked like veins and felt raised. At first Aquarian Pools seemed very willing to help. The technician said he'd never seen anything like it. He thought that maybe the pool hadn't been acid washed either before the pool was plastered or the water was added (can't remember which he said was suppose to be done). He consulted the owner and was told to try acid washing the pool. When he returned he said the owner changed his mind and said to do an acid bath. He explained he would add 13 gallons of acid as recommended by the owner based on the size my pool (16,000 gallons) and leave it for 7 days before neutralizing the acid. Within hours the pool looked great. The next day the pool water turned green. I notified the technician of this. He told me the owner said to let it go for 7 days. Two days later my pool surface was completely brown and slimy. I again called the technician and was told the same thing. When he came back 7 days later he said it didn't look good. He hoped that when he neutralized the acid the brown slime would go away. Several weeks and several brushings later the slime feel went away but my pool was still stained brown. The technician said he'd never heard of the acid bath before and would have to talk to the owner about the results. I never heard back and after several months of trying to contact the owner he finally called me back. He told me that the pool turned brown because I used well water to fill the pool and that he wouldn't do anything to fix the problem because it was my fault. (He tested the well water before filling it and said it didn't have any metals and he still took extra precautions by adding some type of chemical to attract the metals so any would be filtered out and put a sponge on the end of the hose to filter out any metals that may not have been detected). His actions to do and acid bath caused a permanent brown stain in my pool, calcium build up that took months to get under control (because of the low PH), and several months of constant brushing and filter cleaning due to the plaster that the acid took off. I later found out that there is such a thing as an acid bath. You are suppose to add enough acid to the pool to reduce the alkalinity to zero. With a 20,000 gallon pool at 100 ppm alkalinity it's recommended to add 4 gallons of acid. I also found out that if new pools show flaws such as what I saw and confirmed by the technician, pool builders and plasterers will do and acid bath but add much more acid than required to hide the flaws and later blame the pool owner for improper maintenance. The extreme acid bath will also make the pool surface porice which will stain more easily and be harder to remove the stains (in my case I've never found a chemical to remove the stains). So after $50,000 to build the pool and over a $1,000 in chemicals to try and remove the stains I still have a pool that looks like crap. Consumers beware.

We bought a house with our first pool two years ago. We worked with 3 other pool stores before finding Aquarian, and they are miles ahead of the rest for customer service and expertise. I'm greeted by name when I walk in. Solid advice is free and chemicals & parts are fairly priced. Special order parts come in quick (sometimes same or next day).
