Kershaw Aquatic Center

You pay for a pool pass, 75.00 for family pass for 4. You have to choose evening or daytime. Can't be both. Then you show up to swim during your PAID FOR pass time and get told there's no family night because there is a private party. We pay for our time when we buy season passes. I've never been given my physical pass, only have my receipt. Never been given a list of pool rIles or guidelines but was told this evening the private party was posted on facebook. Well I don't have internet in Kershaw and there was nothing posted at the front doors. A lifeguard told me it was in their schedule. How does this help the rest of us. A private party should not encompass the entire pool. It should be limited to one side if the pool. Your pass paying customers are as important as your 15 or so private party customers who were there this Saturday preventing my paid for family pass from being used. So you tell me a private party trumps my prepaid pass! How so?! I paid, they paid. We all paid for services but my paid service was denied. Also, there was food at that party, Pizza and Cupcakes even though No Food permitted at the pool. Oh right I forgot, it's a private party. Give me a break. There is something wrong with this scenario and Stevens Park and the Rec Dept need to make some changes fair to all and set it down in writing and then abide by it themselves. Rant not over!!!

They have many things for you to do inside of this tucked away spot in kershaw. A big play ground filled with equipment for children of all ages in mind. A wonderful covered get together area and a smaller playground near it. A skate or bike park inside this as well for the rookies and well the ones that know a little more about what they are doing besides myself. Outdoor public pool with admission $3 per person Monday-Friday 1-5, Saturdays 11-5 and Sundays 2-5. This pool is well maintained with lifeguards on duty at all times. Finding this spot has became my new "get away" with the kids. I hope you seem to enjoy it as much as I do...family and kids included!!
