After having a migraine for the better part of 2 days, I ventured out for a few min to grab a quick lunch/dinner because I was too tired to cook and did not want cereal again. This used to be Saeed's Mediterranean Grill. New owner and it is now a chain called Arabella with multiple locations see photos. Hours appear to be every day 11 to 9. Seems like the older place was not open Sun. They said they will start delivery in a week or so with some delivery service like Postmates, Grub Hub, etc. Not available yet. Decor is clean and bright. Looks renovated. Reviews on Saeed's seem to say that this was Arabella's before but they closed for renovations. They opened again last week, according to some good info by their neighbor Memorial Postal. If you are still with me, I will tell you of their secret menu item. Kebabs. *evil laugh* They indicate they have gyro and platters on the lighted menu but I did not see the word kebab anywhere. They have chicken and beef chunks only, no ground koobideh - I love chicken koobideh. You can add a ton of sides - I chose kebab over rice with hummus and eggplant omg yum. I think that counts as 3 sides. All the sides were already prepared. Gyro meat standing up cooking per usual. Kebab was cooked well and seasoned deliciously. Will definitely order this again. Anyways, the Korean in me wishes there were garlic in the hummus but it still tasted fresh and yummy. I may smash a clove or 2 in there for fun hahaha. Served with a small pack of thin bread cut into 4 slices. I like thicker bread but it was tasty and warm. The eggplant may be a standard dish in Mediterranean fare but I never had it before. It is a tomato-y dish of eggplant and chick peas. YUM. I loved it. The rice had very good flavor but it was a little oily. Is that normal? Unsure. It tasted good but I wish it had less oil. Not enough to dock a star. Service was friendly and quick. Looking forward to returning. I ate about 1/3 of everything but I did get 3 sides lol.. Hope to see them get some more foot traffic in. They are in a great location for quick eats like Bao Bao Banh Mi in the same shopping center also highly recommend. Happy to have delicious and quick food choices nearby. Random side note: the building on the other side of the street was being torn down today. I cannot wait for the construction on Memorial to be OVER. -_- I will bet 6 more months lol. Sad.
Everything is fresh mixed kebab beef and chicken delicious hummus salad everything yummy
This place had the worst, falsely advertised hours. Their gyro sandwich is very good, but after yet screwed with wrong hours 3 times, it's not worth it. They seemingly are closed on Saturday and Sunday and they closer early on weeknights all the time. When they are open, they are great though.
Looks like the place changed ownership and it got a renovation. The food still a great Mediterranean cuisine. With each visit you can try something different. I have not been disappointed. Would highly recommend!
