Please for your pets sake do not come here ever!!!!! Please go someplace else. Prioritize money over saving lives, do not go there. Won’t even look at your dying pet unless you give them cash first. It’s an emergency and every second counts they should always talk about the cost after the fact. I’ve been to many vets and this is always how it’s handled. Then they are supposed to offer you care credit which is a credit line used if you can’t pay it out of pocket in that moment but they won’t even do that. Some sort of payment plan is always available at any professional doctors office. Not this one though. They are in the wrong profession because to them this is a business. There are ways to get your employees paid and to offer proper medical attention to animals in need. Shut down if you have no idea how to raise funding, let people that actually care be in charge. You need to get paid then go work anywhere else but don’t act like you care about animals.
What's with all the bad reviews?? I've been taking my dog here for 7 years, and Archvet is the only vet I trust in the Bay Area. I haven't lived in San Jose in years, yet I still come back and always get a second opinion from Archvet. Whether it be with Dr. Tal or any of the other vets we've seen, the quality of care is there. Dr. Fischer & Dr. Diaz have been the most recent vets and they are awesome. Professional, kind, and very detail oriented. Yes, it's more expensive than other vets, but out of the 6 other animal hospitals I've taken my dog to in SF & East Bay etc, Archvet is the ONLY one that does not upsell you with unnecessary procedures and the ONLY one that actually diagnoses the issues they take the time to test and are conservative with their recommendations. They do not immediately jump to the most expensive solutions and they actually prescribe the appropriate medicine for your pet. Other cheaper vets may have a lower exam fee, but trust me they will try to swindle you with unnecessary upsells. Archvet does not and you get an honest recommendation from them. Example: My dog is a low-rider short legs, long back and has had back problems - other vets will prescribe tranquilizers that don't address the pain, but Archvet will prescribe the right medication, i.e. NSAIDs, and my dog feels better. The staff are absolutely incredible as well - responsive, friendly, and very detail oriented. They have the operations of this place down to a tee! You don't wait forever, they come back with estimates immediately, and the exam rooms are always so clean not a pet hair in sight. If you can afford it, you should take your pet here. The quality of care is here and I trust the staff at this hospital with my pets. And if you don't already, get pet insurance! This will help with the cost.
If you love your pet Do NOT trust this vet we took our pet chameleon there for a check up Dr Tal Solomon said he was perfectly healthy very hydrated his bones "ribcage" was well structured no respiratory issue etc we asked for blood work and Dr said it was not needed. Recommend we give him EmerAid that was an extra charge of course and feed him with a syringe we fed it to him and he died the following day. I've been calling to talk to the Dr since and still have not been able to speak to him . We paid $231.86 for him to kill our pet. To your response : 1 We took him in on September 12th at 11 AM Monday morning we fed him that day The 4 to 6 feedings as doctor said. At 9am Tuesdaythey called to check on how he was doing? He was not awake yet so we fed him when he woke up at 10:30am Tuesday we found him dead Tuesday night at 11pm. So NO I am NOT making up "false facts" they are 100% true you killed out family pet and you don't want to admit it. 2 All your responses to your Negative patience reviews you respond in a unprofessional manner. You and your staff are very rude and unprofessional. LIES like I said people don't trust this place. I wish I would have read some of these reviews before taking our pet here. It's obvious they have a reputation here. It will probably be a matter of time before they try to delete my review.
Vet is all about making money. We brought our dog there after multiple years at another vet in another city. They checked our dog out and said nothing is wrong. We mentioned that we need our prescriptions refilled and they said no problems. When I asked for them to write the prescription, they said they wanted to do blood work and a yearly exam. They will also not write a prescription for a year's supply. In the end, the vet took our money for a vet visit promised to write the prescription and is now just asking for more money to tell us nothing. They don't even know what tests to run or why the medicine we are giving him works. This is all from the previous vet. It's like cheating on your homework and asking the person you're cheating off of to pay you. Thief! Just write the prescriptions for the dog and when the yearly comes up, I will bring him to your office. Otherwise, you have failed to provide the service you promised and just want to run the same tests again for no reason. Documents to prove all this.
I’d like to sincerely thank Archvet staff and doctors!! Our 14 week puppy, Bre, got into an accident while in our backyard the morning of thanksgiving and was bleeding profusely from her teeth. One of her teeth broke off and several other teeth in the front were fractured. We called multiple emergency places but no one would take dental emergency. Finally we called archvet and they took us in immediately. They gave us treatment options within 30 minutes and took the puppy in for surgery. The doctor worked until 4pm on thanksgiving to extract 6 fractured teeth from my puppy. Because of their kindness and generosity, my puppy Bre is doing well - happy and healthy! Thank you so much team!!!
The vet and staffs are very professional and caring towards my dog, despite the stressful situation and overload of patients coming in. They offer great diagnosis and medical recommendations. They also let me choose and filter out estimates before following through with the medical care.
Compassionate and kind vets and staff. Thankful for the time they took to explain all of our options when our beloved dog was suffering. Thank you Arch staff!
They are only about making money and they don't care about your pet. We had the most heartbreaking experience s here regarding their version of care, aka schemes. I can't believe they are still in business.
Extremely expensive. Medication available online for $18 priced at $120 I expect a markup but this is ridiculous. Refused to try a different antibiotic medication when the $120 one did not solve the problem without another visit and more tests. Corporate ownership. Nice individual doctors who have no control over pricing. Go elsewhere.
I don’t recommend this place the owner is very rude and disrespectful. This place says it’s for “emergencies” but unless it works for them they deny everything and everyone. These vets don’t care about animals they only care about the money. At the same time i know they have got to be paid but that doesn’t mean they can’t offer payment plans and anything of that sort. ridiculous. don’t waste your money at this place
